Trump may intervene in case of St. Louis couple wielding guns at protesters, Missouri governor said

The governor of Missouri says President Trump has promised to "do everything he could within his powers" to shield a St. Louis couple who wielded guns at protesters in their gated community from prosecution, even as an attorney for the client says charges are imminent.

Gov. Mike Parson said he spoke to Trump Tuesday and was reassured that the president-- who previously has retweeted a photo of the couple, Mark and Patricia McCloskey holding up guns in front of their house in the June 28 incident--"understands the situation in Missouri."

"He understands the situation in St. Louis and how out of control it is for a prosecutor to let violent criminals off and not do their job and try to attack law-abiding citizens," Parson said at a press conference.

“a St. Louis couple who wielded guns at protesters in their gated community”

Here we go. Leaving out the part where these thugs broke down a gate and were trespassing. Fox is bad as the rest.

The Governor can issue a blanket pardon today.

Yes, he could.

There are other steps as well.

President Trump should not side-step the Governor.

No! I want to see that cranial deformity that is their D.A. follow through with her tyrannical prosecution! I want that crap on her fascist record so that it will be easier to deal with her when the inevitable push back slams that face, personally, and at within her own front door. Not every patriot needs to go overseas to deal with our enemies.

The DOJ can pursue a Federal case against a persecutor who violates the constitutional rights of a U.S. citizen.

I’d be very surprised if Trump could legally intervene in any way.

“The Governor can issue a blanket pardon today.”

Yes, he can. Maybe he hasn’t much of a spine.

I don’t.

Trump has a nuclear weapon also. When southern law enforcement conspired with KKK criminals to murder people, arrest them unjustly, etc... the charge was conspiracy to violate the civil rights of the victim.

This DA is clear and deliberately violating the civil rights of that couple for the benefit of BLM and rioters. Trump can literally prosecute her for violating their civil rights.

I tend to agree with you. It’d be real simple to bring charges against the city DA, and test the system on 2nd amendment rights. As long as the couple stayed on their property, I don’t see how any case can be developed.

A pardon would indicate they did something wrong though.

They didn’t do anything wrong.

See post 7 above.
Trump could direct the DOJ to charge and arrest the circuit attorney, the judge and the police chief on denial of rights under color of law.

That should get their attention.

Reminds me very much of the state of Mississippi Neshoba County Sheriff’s Office when three guys were murdered back in 1964. Law enforcement running interference for a terrorist organization.

Seems Trump could issue a statement saying he was going to ask Barr to investigate the prosecutor for a variety of concerns and probably curb this thing.

A few words to the prosecutor should be all that is necessary.

His statement for the preserving of criminal rights over those of solid citizens has been made.

The prosecutor has a choice of quietly backing off or placing his and his families very existence in clandestine jeopardy

Someone should tell Trump the Bill of Rights has 10 amendments. The last of which tells him that he can have an opinion on stuff, but he can’t do anything not listed in the Constitution.

He makes himself look stupid when he does this.

Fox is bad as the rest.

They're much worse - because they're betrayers and the enemy from within.

Paul Ryan is all anyone needs to know.
