CNN anchor Don Lemon weighed in on the recent wave of toppled statues and suggested that Americans were taught "propaganda" about the nation's history.
During Monday's nightly handoff with colleague Chris Cuomo, Lemon accused the president of "putting himself in a position" where he is "defending racist, treasonous people" over his support of Confederate statues and his recent tweet suggesting NASCAR made a mistake by banning Confederate flags.
Lemon then defended the recent onslaught of statues that have destroyed by rioters of non-Confederates like Ulysses S. Grant and George Washington, saying "movements are often messy" and how young people "have asked for decades" for the removal of certain statues and now "the chickens are coming home to roost."

Broke college grads and lower income minorities would make up a bunch, I’m guessing.
I would imagine if you’re filled with enough hate to watch cnn, you ain’t doing that good in life at the current moment.
He’s obviously never read a book with footnotes, that cite where the source of the information came from. I did my masters thesis on the 55th Massachusetts, the second black regiment organized in the North. I spent most of my vacations at the National Archives, historical societies, college libraries, State libraries, going through collections that contained diaries, letters, military and pension records, official military documents, etc., in order to get the information I needed. I didn’t pick the facts out of my ass. My thesis was based on all primary source material written during the war. I doubt Lemon even knows what a primary source is. In all the years I researched the black troops, I never met one black researcher. Everyone I met, who was interested in the same topic, were all white. The only times I communicated with, and met blacks during my research, was when I tracked down the descendants of some of the men in the units.
