SORRY. WRONG ANSWER.

SOME tribes were NOMADIC but many tribes were anything BUT nomads. = SOME NA towns were CENTURIES old.

Fyi, it was the American Indian that “invented” the log cabin & taught the new immigrants how to build one.

Woodland tribes (like the one that I belong to) often provided the immigrants enough food to survive the Winter & even the whole next year until a crop could be “gotten in”. Indians taught the “gentlemen of the better class how to fish, how to hunt for the native game & the best ways to start a farm.
(The vast majority of the first groups of Europeans were NOT either “working class”, stockmen or farmers. Instead, most were “wealthy gentlemen of the better class”, who were unable to feed themselves until farmworkers & skilled craftsmen were “imported from Europe”.)

NA also “invented” the COONSKIN CAP, that people identify with Daniel Boone, Davy Crockett & other frontiersmen.

Also, by accident NA discovered that chewing up/swallowing the inner bark of willow trees would relieve pain. = That substance is today called: ASPIRIN.

Perhaps the MOST IMPORTANT thing that the Amer-Indians taught the Europeans was to eat quantities of plums/prunes to treat CHRONIC CONSTIPATION & SCURVY.
(Prior to the mid-18th Century, the several effects of chronic constipation & scurvy caused the death of many a European person.)
