Antifa instigators engaged in yet more looting, violence, and arson on Thursday night and Friday morning in Portland, Ore., as they tried to set up another “autonomous zone.”
“North Portland looks like a war zone right now,” Andy Ngo, editor-at-large of The Post Millennial, tweeted in the wee hours of Friday morning. “Antifa militants tried to establish an autonomous zone outside the [Portland Police] North Precinct. They then started fires in the street.”

“Antifa rioters have brought barricades & stolen property to build walls outside Portland Police North Precinct. They’re occupying the space & trying to recreate another autonomous zone like the one they did outside Ted Wheeler’s condo. A separate mob is demonstrating downtown,” Ngo reported.

The people in these leftist cities have voted for this for years. Trump should not help them at all. They should be left on their own, eating the crap sandwiches they ordered.

Several weeks ago I suggested that the Police or whomever was defending the area start shooting rubber bullets the first time an event occurs. Then issue a warning that the next event will be defended also. However the decision to use rubber or real bullets was still pending.

The Chinese repeating crossbow (Chu Ko Nu) would be better yet: no skill to use so you can hand them out to neighbors and quickly form a militia. I doubt these Leftist twits would be all “then we shall fight in the shade”.
I also don't understand why arsonists are not shot with live rounds. Breaking windows, looting (theft), and destroying public/private property may not work with humanist policies that a life is not worth those offenses, but arson can kill people who live above and next to these buildings. Each LE department should have snipers especially trained on those scum. Hit them before they can meld back into the crowd.
This nightly nation-wide rioting with police being told to stand down is something I never thought I see again since the Rodney King Los Angeles riots in 1992. I was amazed to watch that go on day after day.
What I like is one hand holds the weapon while the other hand pulls a lever from vertical to horizontal that pulls the bowstring taught, fires the arrow at complete horizontal, while loading another arrow from a loaded magazine on top. They remind me of a pump shotgun without the trigger. Wonder if they are still sold or have to make one from scratch.
Defund the police, already, so we can start running down the blockaders and rioters without fear of arrest.
Not just arsonists, but whatever riot leaders can be identified from sniping distance. Drop a few leaders in their tracks and the rest will flee.
Poison tips make any hit a kill.
That's a point, but how does the average citizen know what to use. Not that I'm advocating that.
Like I said, a weapon that works best with lots of friends. Definitely something you’d have to make but not mechanically complex.

Of course if you are more into small death / siege engines you could adapt the idea into a stack of three or four crossbows on a common frame/action, and fed cam driven by a big hand crank or electric motor ... all on a nice swivel mount. Very Road Warrior.
