Didn’t Cuomo threaten Civil War when President Trump suggested this?

So the states with the highest infection rates want to quarantine people from states with much lower infection rates?

Makes about as much sense as anything else coming out of that area I guess.

the DoJ just challenged a similary quarantine order by the state of Hawai’i stating that the state’s order is unconstitutional in that its blocks interstate travel.

This is rich! We live in Hilton Head, SC which has been relatively ok during the pandemic. For the past SIX WEEKS, there has been a steady stream of cars on 278 with bikes, suitcases etc. a vast majority of license plates from New York and New Jersey. Restaurants are full of “vacationers” with northeast license plates and people who work in the vacation rental business know how many and how long this has been happening. So if there is an uptick of COVID in Southern States it has everything to do with the virus “migrating” from the death zones up North.

Super Duper Democrat New York and New Jersey who alone account for probably 70% of the coronavirus deaths in the United States

Actually about 45,000 out of 130,000. So more like a third. Still impressive for two states out of 50.

I don’t know about NY but in NJ (Where I live so I track it) deaths per day are down 90% and so are new cases per day. It’s burned out in NJ. We still have lockdowns though because dictators don’t give back power voluntarily.

This will come back to harm NY bc liberal ideas are notoriously short-sighted. Every state should institute “reciprocal” travel restrictions where any state quarantines go both ways.
Sensible or no?

NY should be avoided due to their CFR.

This is reciprocal. Texas and Florida placed similar quarantine restrictions on some out of state visitors back in March. Not sure about Texas but the ones in Florida are still in effect.

Not sure about Florida, but the Texas quarantine was limited only to Air Travelers, not commuters. It was recommended by none other than the imminent Dr. Birx.

NJ resident here, and I thought we’d be barred from entering any other state. (I know nobody wants us infecting their state’s politics anyway and I don’t blame them but for virus quarantine reasons..)

Why the Hell would anyone want to go to New York, New Jersey or Connecticut for any reason whatsoever anyway?

Who would want to even go in those 3rd world country states. Question - Travel agent websites usually state when a place is unsafe to visit, as a warning and to protect them legally. Are there any warnings to visit states where the turmoil is occurring,
