n a conference call on Monday lasting under six minutes, T-Mobile vice president James Kirby told hundreds of Sprint employees that their services were no longer needed. He declined to answer his employees questions, citing the personal nature of employee feedback, and ended the call.
TechCrunch obtained leaked audio of that call, which was said to be one of several calls held by T-Mobile leadership throughout the day to lay off staff across the organization. The layoffs come just two months after its contested $26 billion Sprint merger was finally completed.

Its a Seattle company - what could possibly go wrong?
I’m glad they got rid of a ton of employees. Whenever I had to go to Sprint there were just too many people there willing to help me with my every need. /SARCASM!!!!!!!!!!!!
Inevitible, there will be lots of cheap office space available at the Sprint Campus in Kansas City.
Sprint has over 28K employees so layoffs of a few hundred is much ado about nothing.
Guess I won’t be getting any wireless phone service from T-Mobile any time soon.....
Word is that DISH is buying BOOST Mobile and will utilize the fired employees to help them compete in the market fairly quickly.
This is what usually happens when one company takes over another. Thankfully it was T-Mobile taking over Sprint and not the other way around. Sprint’s service was terrible.

Two lines unlimited $60 per month including taxes. Free internet and texting in most countries.
Better Seattle scum lose their jobs than real Americans...
Replaced by Indian H1Bs and H4EAD scum. Just like AT&T
They pulled their Advertising from Tucker’s Show.
Too bad, so sad. I’m sure the laid off Employees will blame Trump for allowing the Merger to go through.

I wonder if Tucker Carlson uses them as his Wireless Carrier?
. Im sure the laid off Employees will blame Trump for allowing the Merger to go through.
How does the merger benefit America? Hundreds of layoffs arent a good thing, especially in a time of high unemployment. What is the compensating benefit?
The Left understands that Corporate Consolidation has made it easier for them to takeover society.
I was just going to say the same as it was T-Mobile flouted their decision to pull advertising from Tucker.
These mergers should all be examined closely as they do mostly harm to employees and those things we need more of which is competition and innovation. They rarely help stockholders. Google taking over Youtube helped no one.
How does this merger benefit America? Im not saying it doesnt, Id just like someone to give the argument for it. The hundreds of layofffs, by themselves, are a negative. What is the positive that makes up for them?
It doesn't.
Ever see/hear the phrase "tip of the iceberg?" There will undoubtedly be many, many more to come.
