They are literally shoving their legacy of slave trading and white supremacy right down our throats everyday, all day long with this New York business. Its insufferable.
And whats California doing promoting all those Catholic Saints?
Because the British defeated the Dutch.
Ahh . . . York is a PLACE. The Duke was named after the place. NEW York was named after the OLD York across the pond.
Anyone who doesn’t want to participate in the American dream, to live in the country as it is, should be purchased a one-way ticket to whatever country they’d rather be in - I understand Ghana will take them. Just go.
I don’t know why I never hear anything but guilt from America about the past slavery. The whole darned world practiced slavery. It was the way things were at the time. One by one, countries abolished the practice. Why isn’t EVERYONE being raked over the coals for past ways that are no longer acceptable? You’d think America was the only country who used slaves. Heck, the North American natives used each other as slaves if they lost a battle.
The world needs one great big “Get Over It” day.....enough is enough.
I propose that we should abolish any and all names or titles
that anyone finds offensive, for any reason.
So many words are going to have Latin derivations, Christian underpinnings and otherwise blatant micro aggressions.
All people and places should just be given numbers. Im 450739476 from 8374637 in 45. How are you?
I’d like to see them try, it would be hilarious.
Oops, here it is, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpCN_fRDxFE
All people and places must get numbers.
Everybody must get Borged!
Apologies to Bob Dylan.
To honor the sub-Saharan Africa home lands of the new majority, I propose New York be renamed New Niger.
Therefore all native American names should be stricken from public and all Indian Casinos should be sacked burned and looted Ok people ! line up for the peaceful protest at the casino, put hands on head and chant loudly "NOT GETTING MY SCALP, NOT GETTING MY SCALP" then break all the windows and loot the slot machines....[/sarcasm].....(just kidding sheesh)
LOL !
Re-name it California.
Rename it New CHOP. Yeah that’s the ticket.
I dont know why I never hear anything but guilt from America about the past slavery.
*************
Slavery existed a total of 78 years in the United States of America which was established with the signing of the Constitution.
Thomas Jefferson included strong anti-slavery trade language in the original draft of the Declaration of Independence, but other delegates removed it.
Sorry, the United States of Amercia became a nation with the signing of the Constitution in 1787.
Slavery existed in the US for sum total of 78 years.
What other country worked at an finally ended slavery over such a short timespan?
They need to start looking at Spain, Portugal, and other European countries, rather than the US.
Go talk to Spain, Portugal, the Dutch, and the British that practice slave trading for centuries before the US became a nation. go talk to the countries that made the profits of the dastardly act.
And.....go sue the Muslim countries that continued the slave trade until the 20th century and up until now.
Slaves shipped east to Muslim lands were castrated, so they could not reproduce. Thank G_d my ancestor came west.
That’s right Tom. Now that they are succeeding in dominating the agenda they will push for more. This is just the start.
Since the African Continent is where Slavery Originated shouldn’t we BAN the Word “African” and anything related?
Incorrect. That's a common misperception.
New York was, in fact, named after the Duke Of York (the future King James II), the prominent slave trader, after the Duke of York's Charter in 1664.
More of the history...
Duke of York's Charter, 1664
"Charter granting the colony of New York to James, Duke of York, from his brother King Charles II, 1664."
http://www.archives.nysed.gov/education/duke-yorks-charter-1664
James, Duke of York - James II, King of England
"James, younger son of King Charles I of England, held the title of Duke of York. He was born on October 14, 1633 and, during the English civil war, was captured by forces opposed to the monarchy. James escaped to continental Europe where he distinguished himself as a soldier and, when his elder brother Charles II was restored to the throne, he returned to England and was appointed commander of the Royal Navy. Against the backdrop of the Anglo-Dutch wars, Charles asserted Englands claim to New Netherland by granting James a patent to the colony. James sent a fleet under the command of Richard Nicoll, the Dutch surrendered, English rule was established and the colony was renamed New York."

So as not to offend anyone, all places must be renamed with nonsense names like kwazlix or floop.
