As the United States wakes up to the myriad of ways its culture reinforces racist and offensive stereotypes, Americans are also waking up, quite literally, to an offensive breakfast.
After a TikTok video by singer Kirby, titled "How Not to Make a Racist Breakfast, started spreading virally on the Internet, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanhian tweeted how is Aunt Jemima not canceled? The viral video, which explores the offensive origins of Aunt Jemima pancakes, is trending on Twitter with two million views. It begs the question:

The same issue applies to Uncle Bens Rice, another product branded by a fictional representation of a Black man that stirs up racist stereotypes. In particular, the word Uncle harkens back to terms pejoratively used to refer to slaves. And Aunt Jemima pancakes and Uncle Bens rice are not the only products on Americas shelves that have racist connotations, products like Nestles Eskimo Pies, Cream of Wheat (which also includes a character reminiscent of minstrel shows), and the Chiquita banana brand also have racist undertones.

Removing all black people from all product labels and from all advertising ... that way none of it would be racist?
White to the Future!
I can invision blacks running up and own at grocery stores looking for any can or item that THEY can see they identify with that they don’t want to.
my egg whites don’t run
Eskimo pies are on the chopping block ????
It would be a shorter list to make a list of all the things that the politically correct crowd is not offended by ,than the growing list of things that they are pissed off about.
So today Aunt Jemima is gone , tomorrow Uncle Ben’s rice will be gone, next week Eskimo pies are gone. Next month Betty Crocker will be gone.
With all these statues of Columbus being torn down, I wonder how violent Columbus Day this year is going to be. It might be wise to avoid Columbus Day Celebrations because these goons are going to show up and start the violence.
Of course Uncle Ben and Aunt Jemima (Jimima is an old English name The Current Earl of Sandwich has a daughter named Jemima) are examples of beloved out world cooking. People have fond memories of their childhood food. Now a days, the memories are gone. But there were black cooks who produced better food than Betty Crocker. And the generations who ate that black southern cooking, loved it. But we need to wipe that out because black people don’t like their ancestors.
The protesters have achieved goals far beyond their very own expectations.
Love that chicken from Popeyes.
Why dont they have a whole aisle for African food? Theres a Mexican section. Are the canned black beans and pinto beans any different? And why do the Chinese foods have Chinese writing on them and La Choy? Then take a visit to the beer section.
Aunt Jemima has already been changed several years ago. it used to be a more broad and older black woman, suddenly it was a very young and thin black woman.
As for Uncle Ben, as was said on a Dean Martin Roast years ago...”He was a credit to the rice!” The Audience howled with laughter, including Martin’s black guests.
I’ve been wondering for quite a while when the Uncle Ben gripe would hit. So if it is sold with a plain label, should it be black print on a white background or white print on a black background. Decisions. Somebody will not be happy regardless.
Said to my Wife this morning, “Uncle Ben and Ms. Butterworth are on the chopping block.”
Mrs Butterworth transitioned slowly away from that particular marketing.

Stacy abramesque? Runway model. Or was that model for a runway...................
It seems the answer to racism is, ironically, to remove any historical or social references to black characters in society.
Black people should realize - the Left and their social engineering intends to turn you completely into political and ideological robots for their benefit.
People whove got time to be oppressed by place names or statues arent being oppressed.
I cook from scratch.
These companies can kiss mah grits.
I’ve always contended that the left is the manufacturer and promoter of systemic racism.
