Stir-crazy party animals may ruin the citys planned reopening for the rest of us. Areas including Manhattan and the Hamptons where businesses have been widely reported for violating social distancing rules could see their reopening plans reversed, Gov. Cuomo threatened Sunday, even as Saturday marked the lowest number of new COVID-19 deaths in the state since the peak of the nightmare in April.
The state has received a whopping 25,000 complaints about establishments that are serving customers and allowing drinking on the streets, he said, noting Manhattan and the Hamptons are leading areas in the state with violations. I am warning today in a nice way: consequences of your actions, Cuomo said at an Albany press conference, noting businesses can lose their liquor licenses for breaking social-distancing rules. We have 25,000 complaints statewide. Im not going to turn a blind eye to them."

New Yorkers giving Gov Cuomo the collective finger.
DO IT, DICKTATOR!
Take over the state house.
Too bad you didn’t reverse your deadly nursing home policy before you murdered thousands of people’s parents.
Who’s gonna enforce it for him at this point?
Thanks Gov. Cuomo for making it very clear what all this COVID-19 bull sh#t has really been all about.
This stupid social distancing was never about actual health. It was about Leftist government control
De Blasio: You said we're not social distancing? I've gotta listen to people because of your ****in' shit? Your ordering us to lock down? You better get your own ****in' army pal.
Perhaps NYer’s should riot.
Sounds like a Catholic junior high principal ranting after Senior Prank day.
Lockdowns end when people end them, not when politicians deign.
I guess they have figured out that Little Andy has no real power. Only what people gave him. Now some seem to be taking it back.
Does General Cuomo have any cops left or just commissars?
The looters and arsonists were given free reign. Now it’s time to crack down on the law abiding citizens.
The whole reason for the lockdown was to prevent hospitals from being totally overwhelmed. People cannot remain in isolation forever. Even the most vulnerable, however protected, will eventually come in contact with this virus. Some will sicken and some will die. Gradually and painfully “herd immunity” will develop. The only rational to enforce a strict lockdown is the expectation that an effective, safe vaccine is imminent. Otherwise people knowing the risks ought to be allowed to exercise their freedom
I doubt the good men and women in blue are in any mood to enforce Cuomo’s extralegal, constitutionally unsupported decrees.
Cuomo better lawyer up for all the lawsuits that are coming because of his killing of thousands of old people.
The dictators are worried that after the riots and re-openings it will become obvious to the peasants that we never needed to be locked down in the first place.
My daughter who is a refuge from NYC has been staying with us here in SC since March. Fortunately she can work from home. She may never be able to return to here 400 sq ft apt in Chelsea at this rate.
So far she has made great progress imposing parental reforms on our diet smoking, exercise, TV watching and drinking habits. I’m beginning to think catching the virus might be a good thing.
Oh, the horror,.....the horror... . . . . . .
A big problem here in NJ and neighboring NY is that while we already have among the highest property taxes in the nation, towns are openly talking about raising them much higher to deal with the reduced state aid sue to follow the steeply declining income tax the states collect from locked-down businesses. They are openly stating they intend to make up the shortfalls on the backs of individuals (whether they are working or not); nobody is talking about reducing the government workforce or even furloughing the workers. As far as I can see they’ve drawn full pay this whole time, even if the government offices were closed.
Comrade Cuomo is a F’in communist.
