Civil rights activist Al Sharpton attacked President Donald Trump and vowed not to let those with agendas use George Floyd as prop during his powerful eulogy for the man who was anonymous in life but sparked global protests for justice in death.

Hollywood celebrities, musicians and the politically powerful filed into a sanctuary in front of the golden casket of Floyd for a memorial service on Thursday as mourners began a three-city farewell.

The service unfolded at the Lindquist Sanctuary at the North Central University as a judge less than a mile away set bail at $750,000 each for three of the four fired Minneapolis police officers charged with aiding and abetting murder in his death.

The memorial drew the Rev. Jesse Jackson, Sen. Amy Klobuchar and members of Congress, including Reps. Ilhan Omar, Sheila Jackson-Lee and Ayana Pressley. Among the celebrities in attendance were T.I., Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Kevin Hart, Tiffany Haddish and Marsai Martin.

I guess EVERY funeral in Minnesota is the Wellstone Memorial

No, not so. My mother-in-law passed away last Tuesday. We had not been able to see her for Easter, Mother's Day, .... She died at her daughter's home among her loved ones. We had a small graveside ceremony. She wasn't important enough for a full on Wellstone Memorial.

Her life was never as exciting as that of George Floyd. She never held anyone up, never served a prison sentence, never used drugs, ..... She just worshipped God, honored Him in her life as a surgical nurse and left quietly, after having arranged and paid for her funeral several months ago. She was quiet and dignified. She didn't get much comfort in her last months owing to the Corona crap, but she died well. And last Saturday, a bright, sunny yet cool day, we laid her to rest in a quiet cemetery. It wasn't the funeral she'd wanted, but it was beautiful and we honored her with due decorum.

This circus really pisses me off.

A white couple travelling on I-10 through Baton Rouge stopped to get gasoline. Two elementary age kids in the back seat.
Husband is confronted by a black man who shoots him in the head. Wife gets out to protect her husband. A black woman then shoots the wife in the head.

So a white couple were executed in front of their kids for being in the wrong part of town.

Unfortunately there are some states and areas of you should not travel thru for any reason.

When in Flrida, and unfamiliar with the area I took a wrong exit....driving along trying to figure out where I was, I saw women hanging out on corners and boarded windows and gated doors. Wasn’t driving more than 5 minutes when a police car was in back of me and another along side. Pulled over and they said ..”we knew you weren’t from around here, a blond woman driving a nice car by herself wouldn’t survive”....they were actually escorting me until I was back up on the freeway..said they new I was lost.

Thanks. I feel for families who have to suffer their loss without loved ones and friends beside them. And then to see this. It’s infuriating. Not that Floyd’s family is getting multiple opportunities to mourn their family member, but that others are being denied the same.
