Yes, I listened to the mayors interview and he said he ordered the police to leave.
The mayor said in his briefing the situation was “too dangerous for the officers and the people” so he ordered the officers to leave.
Dem cities are like third world, or like Beirut. Who wants to live in a Dem city?
Yes, the mayor ordered them to leave and allowed this. Then he will force taxpayers to pay and insurance companies.

Listened to a couple of his briefings...doesn’t know what he’s doing and certainly unskilled to handle a crisis.

That was my thought. Once they let it get out of hand as far as they did the police were left with no good choices. At this point they need the National Guard to restore order.

I stayed a few months with family in the suburbs of a city run by Demorats..... it was awful I tell ya! rare to venture into the city at all.
Rioters know they are above the law when they organize as this, that the police will be ordered to withdraw....they’ve grown accustomed to their protests turning into rioting and see it as an opportunity to rob and unleash their violent behavior......every time!
Reminds of the mayor and gov of Louisiana during Katrina. Total incompetence. I knew when they did that half assed presser yesterday they knew the fuse was about to blow. At very least the guy commuted manslaughter, that’s enough to arrest the guy.
Or made the Irish pick it. They’re more expendable and easier to control if you promise whiskey at the end of the day.

I figured as much.
Hell, common sense would say “leave now” the minute the crowd size swelled and the molotovs (or whatever they used) came out.
Then that, too, might be why you can’t trust your police to protect you in a timely way.

The first thing cops in big liberal cities do when confronted by a mob is save their own sweet asses first. Protecting citizens is way down the list. Minneapolis is a rerun of LA in 1992.
They wanted the police gone, for their wish and still burned the city down. It’s a multi day riot and won’t stop until adults take charge and stop it.

I know no better way to define tyranny than having the knee of an agent of the state, pressed into the neck until death of a cuffed American citizen, in front of other citizens, while cameras are rolling.
Are these rioters all doing right? Of course not, opportunistic criminals are everywhere. But to think that the people should roll over and take this is dangerous, historically very dangerous, for a citizenry.
