EXCLUSIVE: The Treasury Department Spied on Flynn, Manafort, and the Trump Family, Says Whistleblower
The Ohio Star ^ | 18 May 2020 | Neil W. McCabe

Posted on 05/18/2020 2:55:46 AM PDT by Erik Latranyi

President Barack Obama’s Treasury Department regularly surveilled retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn’s financial records and transactions beginning in December 2015 and well into 2017, before, during and after when he served at the White House as President Donald Trump’s National Security Director, a former senior Treasury Department official, and veteran of the intelligence community, told the Star Newspapers.

“I started seeing things that were not correct, so I did my own little investigation, because I wanted to make sure what I was seeing was correct” she said. “You never want to draw attention to something if there is not anything there.”

The whistleblower said she only saw metadata, that is names and dates when the general’s financial records were accessed. “I never saw what they saw.”

By March 2016, the whistleblower said she and a colleague, who was detailed to Treasury from the intelligence community, became convinced that the surveillance of Flynn was not tied to legitimate criminal or national security concerns, but was straight-up political surveillance among other illegal activity occurring at Treasury.

“When I showed it to her, what she said, ‘Oh, sh%t!’ and I knew right then and there that I was right – this was some shady stuff,” the whistleblower said.

“It wasn’t just him,” the whistleblower said. “They were targeting other U.S. citizens, as well.”

Only two names are listed in the whistleblower’s official paperwork, so the others must remain sealed, she said. The second name is Paul J. Manafort Jr., the one-time chairman of Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.

The other names include: Members of Congress, the most senior staffers on the 2016 Trump campaign and members of Trump’s family, she said.

“Yes, term limits for elected officials is not enough. We must have term limits for employment by the federal gov’t....perhaps double the political limit of 12 years.“

Thumbs up!

Good to see that there are at least a *few* government paycheck recipients who believe in the rule of law.

WTH didn’t this whistleblower come forward SOONER??

They did. 2017. They went to the IG, who did nothing.

I suspect they have come out now, because they think there is a chance, now that the coup is being exposed, they can survive without retaliation.

Gray when I worked there I would agree as I know those I worked with were interested only in getting the bad guy and doing a good job. That was 20+ yrs ago away from DC. I think for those in the trenches that is pretty much still the case below the appointed level. In DC it has become one political inspired mess after another since perhaps the Nixon time but since ohola. Trump is working with a skeleton crew there and the gov I believe only has the “ essentials” on board. Trump should let anyone not there go as not needed. That is just a small part of problem as a good number of essentials are anti trump and wide eyed libs. Getting rid of them is tougher and may require the removal by lamp pole.

From the article:

Complaint filed with Treasury Inspector General

In March 2017, she filed a formal whistleblower complaint with Acting Treasury Inspector General Richard K. Delmar, who continues in that office today, she said. Beyond Delmar acknowledging receipt of the complaint, the inspector general never followed up on the matter.

This formal complaint was a follow-up to an August 2017 notification to Delmar that did not meet the full requirements of formal complaint, but it provided Delmar with the details of Treasury’s surveillance of Flynn, she said.

The whistleblower filed a subsequent complaints with the Office of Special Counsel May 2017, which is the permanent office established to work with whistleblowers and is not related to Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

I would like to see who this person Richard K. Delmar is.

This whistleblower will not get the attention that the media gives to others

True. Because the whistleblower will likely blow the whistle on the media who are complicit in illegal activities to destroy their political “enemies”.

Obamagate is like Watergate, only in Obamagate you have federal agencies like Treasury, FBI *helping* to destroy political “enemies” and the press, instead of investigating the crimes is also assisting the criminal activity.

No wonder the MSM wants to give this story a good leaving alone.

Couldn’t find out much about Richard K. Delmar.

Sounds bureaucratic. The first notice to the Treasury IG sounds like it was bounced back to the Whistleblower with the message ‘You didn’t make the submission correctly’ so it was followed up by another submission that did.

Has anyone fixed the whistleblower form since the guy who got fired for changing it(and a few other things), changed it?

Not only will this whistleblower NOT get the attention she deserves, she will be derided and despised as a “partisan” in whatever attention she does get. All ‘whistleblowers’ who support Trump are to be despised as ignorant partisans, all Whistleblowers who oppose Trump are to be heralded as patriotic heroes.

Didn’t Auntie Maxine tell us that Obama had built this wonderful array on everybody, and that we would never believe the depth of information it had on us? Obama took Clinton’s files as a starting point.

Treasury???? TREASURY???!??!?

Maybe the IRS; maybe the FBI, maybe the DOJ.

But TREASURY? They make currency, coins, and collectible coins. Since when did they go from diddling around with numismatists, to criminal investigation of transactions?

Is there ANY agency Obama did not corrupt?

I noticed on the list of people who had unmasked Flynn were several Treasury officials, including Secretary Lew. Notice how no one in the mainstream media is even asking questions about all these people spying on Americans. Instead, they say it’s routine. Think about that. Spying on Americans is routine.
