One can stay open without a permit. As long as there is a supply chain intact.
Its time to screw the “permits” and let customers decide.
The sheriff left her alone but the chief of police was involved in the CDO. She’s running for Congress and the prob the moment she gets arrested, she gets more attention which is a campaign boost.
I'd love to see her do it, too.
They’ll just pull her health permits.

That’s what Wolfie (PA) threatened.
“One can stay open without a permit.”
Sure, if you like the idea of paying fines that add up every single day until you are bankrupt.
She needs to pick her battles. She won’t win this one.
It's "permission" on a piece of paper. Now enforce it.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis had a message on Thursday for other governors who have implemented really draconian, arbitrary restrictions during the coronavirus outbreak, saying, You don’t have unlimited authority and people do have rights.
DeSantis made the comments on Fox & Friends in response to a question from host Ainsley Earhardt, who asked if he thinks that some of these governors that are just doing a one-size-fits-all for the entire state are being too strict and going too far.
I don’t think any governor has the authority to restrict anyone unless theres a direct relationship to combating this virus, DeSantis said in response, cautioning governors against acting like a “dictator.”

My son is a teacher in Rifle, CO. This is the only restaurant in town that’s not a fast food place.
This is the primary reason the ‘permits’ exist in the first place. It gives complete control over business to bureaucracy.
Why is anyone at all surprised by this?
You can’t even serve icecubes without a health permit. It doesn’t matter if you purchase them or make them in your machine.
If you have a jukebox, you and your customers can’t use it without the licence from the songwriters folks..can’t think of the name of it.
Colorado is horrible for lisencing and permits on food/drink establishments. I’ve seen it first hand. They will destroy her if she doesn’t buckle under theirr thumb. She’s better off selling the place and moving elsewhere.
Permits can be reinstated.
