Apple and Google have embarked on their biggest collaboration ever over the past month, building a platform that will turn nearly every smartphone on the planet into a tool for tracking COVID-19.

Now, the two companies are providing a first look at how the new technology will work on iPhones and Androids.

New screenshots published Monday show how the contact tracing software will use Bluetooth to detect other smartphones in close proximity and alert people if they come into contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19.

Apple and Google will push the new software to people's smartphones automatically later this month, and it's meant to be incorporated into COVID-19 apps developed by government health agencies across the globe.

If I’m gonna end up leaving it at home, I’ll just get rid of the dang thing and go back to a landline.

Or we can go back to the really old days and just have a land line with an answering machine.

The Aussie PM, who is an evangelical, has been pushing the government Covid 19 app every chance he gets. It is voluntary and he says info collected will be disposed of after the virus is done for. You would think he would have read his bible and noticed that a dictatorship arises that wants to control all life and commerce via a number on the forehead or wrist. This app is only the softening up process. One day you will need a digital ID or you will be hunted down, excluded, imprisoned and killed for not having one. Around 5 million sheeple in Oz have downloaded it. They think its all for their good.

I know!!

The Covid19 virus is so small that most masks will not protect you from getting it.

Some of these new technologies are troubling.

What isn’t said is that this means they can know who you are
with 24/7/365.

Think of the implications for blackmail, privacy concerns,
clandestine business meetings...

There’s endless possibilities in these areas.

Works for me. Somehow we all lived just fine with that.

From the stuff the local Apple shill posts, their users quiver with anticipation for the next OS or update. Big gubermint thanks the sheep for being so compliant.

Turn off Bluetooth.

Alternatively, smash your phone... with a hammer. Hillary is an expert.

Curious. Google is pushing this in a play store update. It is ironic that they can never seem to update the os on their phones and fragmentation is a serious problem they can never solve, but they sure can push this monitoring system to their devices. On the current iOS beta, you can turn off the contract teaching tracking in settings.

Since you have an android, and bluetooth switched on, I would look to see if you have just gotten a GSF or Play Store update. That is how google will be turning it on.

Flip phones can still be pinged on the record for location. But you can make it harder by deselecting data, and selecting the no GPS mapping selection under settings, and carrying your phone in a lead sheet lined slip case.
