It’s because they are coding every damn death as COVID-19. There is no believability to any numbers in this. The death numbers are suspect, the models are suspect, they were at 72K yesterday. Funny, as of May 4th, the CDC has total US Covid deaths at 38,576 That is a downward revision of 30,000 LESS deaths. So maybe the morons at the U of W should focus on basic math before creating unrealistic crap!

A model whose predictions have a very wide confidence range and that vary dramatically from day to day is essentially useless in a situation like we are in now.

At this point we should be able to see how accurate the model's early runs were at predicting what we know happened.
