The New York Times on Saturday called for the Democratic National Committee to investigate the sexual assault claims against presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden -- a day after he denied the allegations for the first time.
“As is so often the case in such situations, it is all but impossible to be certain of the truth. But the stakes are too high to let the matter fester — or leave it to be investigated by and adjudicated in the media. Mr. Biden is seeking the nation’s highest office,” a column by the Times’ Editorial Board said.
The call came a day after Biden answered allegations by former staffer Tara Reade that he assaulted her in 1993. The response came in an interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” and in a written statement.

When a leftist rag like the Slimes starts going after a fellow leftist, you know the long knives are out.
I thought the DNC plan would be to force their preferred VP candidate on Slow Joe, nominate both at the convention, then after the convention force Joe out and elevate the VP pick to their presidential nominee.
Maybe they are worried that would be too late to scuttle Joe in order to have a chance to beat Trump.

Yes, Joe should WANT to ask the FBI to investigate the matter. After all, he must be guilty if he doesn’t want to be cleared by an investigation. I think that is the current logic of this kind of thing. Hey, maybe polygraphs by Tara and Joe both? Maybe a big TV show or something.

The deep digging I am referring to is the depth to which all of Joe Biden’s history will be buried.
Translation: We already know what a real investigation will bring forth and we are unwilling to be the one to pull on that string.

Said another way, Joe Biden is seen as harmless, a figurehead to transition us from Trump but won't deliver us to the doorsteps of Socialism. That may make him the most dangerous as far as someone who might actually carry Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Missouri, etc. and deliver a stealth President from the Vice Presidency in year one who accomplishes the mission without having to run on the platform. It would be much better to run against Sanders and have a straight up vote for/against Socialism. Even in these times I think that sets up good for Trump.
.... Just to make things consistent with the Kavenaugh confirmation hearings .... The Republicans should demand an FBI investigation into the accusations against Biden ...... If anything just to expose the Duplicity amongst the Democrats and their Partisan Media ..... As the media cries afoul .....
I can already imagine Cuomo delivering the nation his Powerpoint on why the government must confiscate “assault weapons”. Of course the presentation ends with a choice of doing something or death.
