Here’s the big question: How much revenue does women’s soccer draw compared to men’s soccer? I’ll bet it is way less than 25%.
This was a team that was soundly beaten by several high school boys teams. A group of anti-Americans trying to capitalize their 15 minutes of fame.
More like X TIMES Y more... at least four times more, not including product endorsements.
Exactly, like lingerie football!
They were beat by a boys middle school aged team, 5 - 2.
Probably the right decision. The men bring in more revenue, and their skills are at a higher level. The ladies don’t do nearly as much of the obnoxious flopping and staging. So maybe he revenue situation will improve.
But the real point is when you bargain for something and give up something else, you should be held to your deal.
Womens soccer sucks.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
The more you become a fan of the game the less you enjoy watching women play.
I suppose that goes for most sports.
To be fair they do seem to have a certain flair for beach volleyball and high diving that the men don’t seem to have.
Still, pay for professional sports should be based on revenue. Fewer viewers and advertisers = less pay.
It wasn't a "surprising loss" to some of us. I'm not even a lawyer, and I know that it's damn near impossible to win a lawsuit like this over compensation when you're being paid under the terms of a contract.
If the women's national soccer team thought they were getting treated unfairly, then they should have fired their union representatives who negotiated the collective bargaining agreement under which they played.
You are right but its even worse Than that. Their bargain gave them more assured money. Now that they have done well they want to get the benefit of the risk they were unwilling to take up front. I actually like womens soccer but this was the right decision. I am actually shocked the Judge handed it down. In this age of activism I expected it to go the other way just because.
If a woman wants to be paid the same as the men, simply play in the men’s league. What do you mean they can’t compete at that level? Oh, so they want equal pay for unequal play. Got it.
#17. There was a NY Mafia figure known as “Jimmy Three Fingers”. I wonder how he lost the other two. Might have to ask Joe Biden about that.
The other “Jimmy” Mafia figure was “Jimmy Keys”. Don’t ask. I don’t know.
95% of the conflict and drama in my life
Femalion generated
Obviously the USA Mens Team generates more money. It doesnt matter that they do not have the accomplishments of the Women.
Its like the 1969 NY Mets winning the World Series and insisting the Yankees split their far superior revenue with them.

I think the judge made the right decision...Female players already have a collective bargaining agreement...
I think the people, who filed lawsuit, do not want to recognize the fact that men’s soccer is more popular in the world than women’s soccer...
I was annoyed when some supporters, of this lawsuit, asserted that US Mens’ soccer team is not very good compared to the women’s team...Mens’ soccer is more competitive than women’s soccer...It is not easy to win games in men’s soccer...
This may be blasphemy here, but I like women’s soccer better. When a woman is lying on the ground screaming there is usually a leg pointing in a wrong direction or at least some blood. She’s not going to jump up and get back in play when the ref shakes his head at her like the men do. Flopping angers me.

Brazilian ladies...They learn from guys...
There was a knockout round game between US and Brazil in 2011 Women’s World Cup in Germany...There was one moment when a Brazilian player fell down on the ground...It was as if she was hurt badly...The referee refused to penalize US...Then the Brazilian player got off the ground...She was fine.
Flopping does happen in women’s game...
Get off your ass & go earn a living.
I LIKE YOU!!!! :)
