For decades, the left hated the FBI and CIA. Now that the left controls those agencies, criticism of those agencies is forbidden, even “unpatriotic,” and they can do no wrong.
So, now some schmuck can tell a judge, “Yes, your honor, I beat my wife last Wednesday night, but I’ve been doing it for years, so it’s ok.”

No, they are routine. The FBI routinely does stuff normal people view as entrapment but “tough on crime” judges have allowed to happen for decades. Never talk to an LEO without a lawyer and that goes double for federal LEO.

The even bigger bombshell is that the defense of the FBI against charges of criminality is that their criminal tactics are routine!

I agree that no system should work this way. Unfortunately most of the criminal justice system does work this way.
Cops going out to buy drugs to take down drug dealers. Cops going out and dressed up like prostitutes to take down Johns.

Oh, baloney. Read the whole article; every single one of the “experts” who say it’s no big deal are liberals advocates.

In the medical field, when I hear someone make a damning comment about some practice that is clearly wrong and they are trying to portray it as “everyone does that” I interrupt them and say something like “No, everyone DOESN’T do that. Do your PATIENTS know you do that? Say, what hospital do you work at, anyway. Should I go to a news outlet with that?”
In this case, I would ask those lawyers “What firm do you, or have you worked for? You say that is common practice for EVERY law firm? Why don’t we go to an investigative reporter and find out if your statement is true? Why don’t we ask your clients if they know you do that?”
Thing is, almost every industry has some “secret” or another regarding some standard they don’t adhere to, and a lot of them are relatively minor.
But routine legal malpractice that goes against the very Constitutional and legal CORE of what makes you a lawyer?
“You ain’t no goddamn lawyer. You’re something, but not a lawyer.”
I have long thought they do.
What if one or more of these is proven true?:
(a) the “crime” was Logan Act (not ever enforced)
(b) Flynn was never told he himself was being investigated, that the conversation was for background of something else
(c) they told him he didn’t need a lawyer present

But THAT bombshell has consistently been one ignored by the media.
