Former Attorney General-turned-Alabama Senate candidate Jeff Sessions is calling for a moratorium on all employment-based immigration until the U.S. unemployment rate reaches pre-coronavirus pandemic levels.
Sessions made the announcement during a Thursday press release, saying the federal government should not take on more foreign workers until the countrys unemployment level falls below 3.5%. The declaration appears to be the most dramatic call for employment-based restrictions since the pandemic began.

FU Sessions.
If he was still AG he would have said nothing.
Get rid of the “During Coronavirus Crisis” part and you’re on to something.
Maybe, but Sessions is right. F the world. Time to look out for all American citizens. Trump’s EO was a piss into a shot glass when a 5 gallon bucket is needed.
Way to suck-up there, Jeffy the Elf.
I don’t recall you going after any visa fraud cases when you were AG.
ummm, didnt PDJT just do this?
Jeff Sessions when out of office: tough-talking patriot.
Jeff Sessions when in office: worthless do-nothing.
“”I dont recall you going after any visa fraud cases when you were AG.””
Sessions was the toughest member of Trump’s administration on immigration. Example, from Oct 2017:

Attorney general Jeff Sessions latest attack on the US immigration system is an attack on core principles of who we are as a nation, according to the head of the countrys largest body of immigration lawyers.
In Falls Church, Virginia, on Thursday, Sessions said the asylum system was rife with fraud and abuse, allowing people to enter the country illegally and threaten public safety.

When it came to immigration, he was tough. Unfortunately, he was weak on the Russiagate.

No. His executive order was more holes than cheese. Do some googling or binging, it’s all there. Tens of thousands of low-paid temporary work visas continue. H1b and all that.
I wish I had saved the NY Times article ( I never read the NY Times but I did read it this morning). This is what it said.
Patient zero that infected WA state came from Wuhan. He is a thirty something tech employee ( probably Amazon or Microsoft). He was visiting family in Wuhan during the pandemic. He returned back to Northern Seattle area.. After his return, he started developing symptoms. We were fed a load of BS from our public health department that this person did the responsible thing, and once he had symptoms he went to the ER and told them that he may have the Wuflu. Per the NY Times, he actually was running around town with symptoms. He went to work, a seafood restaurant. It was only when he got really sick that he notified hospital staff that he may have the virus. This douchebag infected others, and only exposed himself when he could not handle the virus.
The DNA from his virus was traced all over Western USA. The nursing home patients who died had his DNA. To me, he is a murderer.
I hope Trump has his name, and his visa gets taken away. He needs to go back to China. I hope one day we will all know his name. We do not need anymore Chinese tech workers. They are selfish.
He’s right, but no amount of being right about immigration is going to overcome how wrong he was about recusal.
Those are nice headlines.
But scratch the surface and tens of thousands of F1 OPT visa holders were playing fast and loose with the system, landing jobs on the basis of fake resumes.
Shouldn’t Jeff recuse himself from the CCP virus discussion?
Jeff, as they say in Rhode Island, you’re all hat and no cattle.
Pandering to the base.
If he was in the Senate, like always he would do what he is told by the GOP-e
How about a moratorium on ALL immigration. 80% of the American people want that. Why can’t they get what they want in a “democracy” or even in a “representative republic”? The will of the people is ignored until such time as the people can be replaced.
Perhaps Im getting cranky due to the quarantine. But I judge Sessions - and the rest of them - based on the golden years of 2017 and 2018. The GOP had it all.
A sea of change should have occurred at that time. But nothing much was done, except for a few tax cuts.
Sessions has always been strong on stopping illegal immigration and curbing the insanity of legal job theft. This was his issue before it was Trump’s...
