I am assured by my physician daughter that while there are many uses for invasive ventilators, if any patient, of any age needs one for ARDS, whether or not caused by the ChiCom bio-weapon, the prognosis is never good.
It’s truely a last resort.
So the reason we had to Prolong the Spread (aka Flatten the Curve) was to save lives by not overwhelming the hospitals which were constrained by ventilator capacity. Now that has proven to be false can we get back Shorten the Spread?

If you are put on a ventilator for any reason, the odds that you are going to walk out of the hospital are slim at best. The fact is that these ventilators are only marginally effective.
It is looking like the problem with Covid19 is not that the lungs aren’t working, but that the blood becomes incapable of carrying oxygen. All the ventilators in the world can’t fix that.

I'm RRT...I do not get worried until someone's Pulse Ox reading is under 80....That's when the curve falls off precipitously.
