What’s this KTLA??
Every time I see an article by them, it’s left slanted.
Los Angeles based????
These folks are very disconnected from the tax system." By law, people dont have to file if they earn less than $12,200. Those without children arent eligible for the child tax credit and are usually due relatively small amounts under the Earned Income Tax Credit. But this group includes many needy Americans, including some disabled people. It also includes anyone in the prison system. Some of them will be students who rely on student loans to support themselves, Maag said.
The jackass who said that needs to meet up with Mister Steel Pipe to the Skull. I mean that in the nicest possible way, of course.
They are frustrated that those in prison miss out on these payments??? Is this for real ????
“...also includes anyone in the prison system.”
“Some of them will be students who rely on student loans to support themselves, Maag said.”
Well, those are real heart breakers.
I HATE when people see the obvious and I don’t!!
It lets even more of the board know how dumb I am :)
And yes, you are correct.
I propose a Tax on all members of AFTRA to feed the Poor.
Make the free money known and they will come.
(Friend of a friend who had minimal income, never works, but travels the globe as an English conversation teacher to foreign lands, has holed up in meditation to fight the COVID-19, refuses to go to a doctor if he needs it, but doesn’t want to file a return and laments he needs the money.)
KTLA has never heard of IRS forms W-2 or 1099, filed with the IRS.
Too bad so sad.
Yeah it is a big mess.
Treasury says it will create a web portal to help those not filing tax returns. They said it could take weeks to get the portal up and running.
Well if it’s like TX unemployment web site, it will be worthless. ..also, never get through by calling either.
And they don’t want to if it interferes with their story
That silly SS number we all have should be done away with also. Or given to all 7 billion people on the planet.
In Canada it’s called SIN (Social Insurance Number). Appropriate no?
Havent filed a tax return in years. I get too little for the tax man to bother with tax collection.
2.8% of population, although they probably need it the most. In any case, even with the stimulus money, their contribution to economic revival would be minimal.
if they have no income..
they must be getting welfare..
did those payments stop?
lol
I learn something new here every day :)
We need it for a license, a loan, a credit card, a mortgage, a job...but not to vote
The states are in charge....not Washington. Look to your state reps, your Congressmen and women....if they can’t or won’t help you, no one can. This mess lays at the feet of the unelected Bureaucrats that govern us and our state agencies.
Will this be on the articles of Impeachment Part II?
