What started as a catastrophe for China is shaping up to be a moment of strategic opportunity, a rare turning point in the flow of history. Suddenly, the protests in Hong Kong, carrying a mortal threat to political stability in the mainland, became a physical impossibility. More important, the pandemic set in motion a global competition, to contain the virus, for which China and the Chinese Communist Party seem uniquely prepared.
As the virus spread to the whole world, it became apparent that Western societies — Beijing’s true rivals — did not have the ability to quickly organize every citizen around a single goal. As opposed to China, which remains to a large extent a revolutionary society, their political systems were built for normal times. Chinese society is a mobilized army, which can quickly drop everything else and march in one direction.
Mao once said, “Everything under heaven is in utter chaos, the situation is excellent.” And so it seems at present, as seen from Beijing. Chinese diplomats stationed all over the world spend their time raising the stakes to a dangerous level. Following instructions from the very top, they have taken to the media to issue a challenge to America, to point out its failure, and to compare the chaos in American cities and hospitals with what they see as a singular success in stopping the epidemic in China.
Several commentators have suggested that China may be winning the coronavirus battle by stepping forward in providing medical help to affected countries, mostly in Europe, at a time when the United States is consumed with its own difficulties. This misses the point.
The cases have been multiplying where the medical equipment provided by Chinese companies and even the Chinese state turned out to be faulty, provoking justified ire...

I find this amusing.
The author seems to feel that China is super awesome and will ascend into full Superpower status based on its fantastic response to the virus it inflicted on the world.
My own guess is that China will be ostracized, their economy is going to collapse, and it will at risk for internal revolution.

So if the rest of China is not being ravaged by the virus while everyone is going about their daily lives, there needs to be an explanation. This raises the questions of whether they had a vaccine/treatment and if so, whether the pandemic is a global strategy. Is it intentional?”

Finally, people are waking up and realizing that China has, in a way which allows them to disclaim responsibility, waged war against the U.S. and all countries having the same, or similar, cultural, political, and social genome (”We”).
“We” are uniquely vulnerable to this virus because, unlike Chinese institutions and their government, “We” are unable to take adequate draconian measures, and more importantly, “We” have an immune system comprised of a voting population which has a tendency to over react and hurt itself. I’d blame the media for complicity here, but, they go part and parcel with “We”. Where China can control a media gone crazy, “We” cannot.
Purposeful or not, the release of this chimeric virus by China, has dealt us a blow on par with Pearl Harbor. Trillions. Trillions vanished, Countries brought to standstills, Institutions destroyed. The list goes on here.
I applaud China for their ingenuity, or stupidity, depending upon how the virus found itself free to roam the world.

However, the current talk in Washington is that they intentionally witheld information about the virus for six weeks while the tried to buy up all available ppe. Now they are selling it all over the world. In addition, they allowed thousands to travel from China to the rest of the world. Throughout history, less things have been considered an act of war. What will the US do about it? Probably nothing....but there is a lot of grousing going on in the Deep State, which is worrisome.

I believe the Chinese would cause OR TAKE ADVANTAGE of a pandemic to crash the world economy and put pressure on the USA to lower their tariffs. Yes, tariffs are THAT important to the globalist agenda, the agenda to de industrialize the USA. A self sufficient USA is a danger to the globalist cabals world view.

I’ve been tracking the initial reported Chinese death tolls since 1/28. They quit reporting accurate numbers around 2/11 (given that their initial data was correct). The death tolls were at a consistent exponential of 2.2 per every eight days. If that number, just for China, were correct, then they have 249,000 appx dead today. Yet, the world death total as of right now is counted as 71,126. Regardless, eleven weeks from now, it won’t matter much, one way or another - good or bad. I’m confident everything will be fine - for most of us.
Indeed. Though I am sure there are those who can’t wait to start importing from China again, just as many want to avoid China made goods. And fwiw, Chinese lead times are still about 6 months out on many goods because they shut down for the New Year and have hardly re-opened. The backlog is huge. This creates an economic domestic and alternative incentive to compete.
