CNN chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta, known for his rough-and-tumble verbal battles with President Donald Trump, likely raised eyebrows among CNN viewers on Tuesday night when he praised the president’s new tone at the latest White House press briefing, claiming “this was a different Trump.”
During the briefing, Acosta asked whether projections of up to 200,000 deaths would be lower if Trump had acted sooner, prompting the president to insist that he did act early. Trump did not spar with his longtime nemesis, even noting at one point that Acosta’s question was “fair.”
“This was a different Donald Trump tonight,” Acosta concluded. “I think he gets it, Anderson.”

That’s surprising since it was the same old Jim Acosta at the briefing. He doesn’t even hear himself when he frames every question in a nasty tone. It’s okay to be skeptical without being accusatory.

What I saw was a Trump in a vice. He has no choice but to let Dr. Doom and his new BFF Barbara run the table. @@@@@@@@@
What we are seeing is POTUS has detractors in a vice. Every time Fauci/Birx speak their professional reputations are on the line as well as people’s lives. By continuing to praise them as the premier pandemic scientists in the world, they are having to up their game. They are also having to change their paradigms toward POTUS AND CONSERVATIVES through close daily interaction.
They may stay liberal, but their hate will turn to respect for POTUS if it hasn’t already. One can see in the last two press conferences Fauci coming to the defense of POTUS and Science especially as new data arrives. Bird said it best yesterday - the original models were worst case guess, the current models are worst care based upon NY and New Jersey. These will be updated daily, but as point of service quick test data comes in (next 3-4 days) the models will be adjusted to reflect the new data.
Relax all POTUS and God have this, we will WIN BIGLY! And then the the world wins and China WILL BE the greatest loser as the world pivots away and turns their backs on China!

The reporters are dishonest and lazy. When the projected fatality stats were illustrated yesterday, the color drained from Acosta's face. He was visibly shaken. Another reporter's jaw was dropped down to his chest. If any of them took the time and effort to learn what we are dealing with, they would have found those projections on the internet a week ago, like I did. Instead, the media whores spend all their time thinking up ways to make POTUS look ill-prepared, and goad him into anger.
My only surprise yesterday was the look of utter shock on the reporters' faces.
Andersom is attacking Trump over projections? Maybe that’s why Trump is being conciliatory. It’s a pathetic attempt to smear Trump as icompetent and to admit fault.
I would not be surprised if Trump sent him a get well card with a nice note. That is the kind of man Trump is.

I think you’re right at less than 25,000 deaths. The logarithmic Total Cases graph has been flattening and looks to max at 300k to 1mil. The death rate based on day of becoming a case appears to be 3% to 4%. This would put deaths between 9,000 and 40,000. Should THE TRUMP CURE 3-part cocktail be widely used and the death rate drop deaths may less than 25,000 even with a million cases.
Everything they say or do is a ploy for eyeballs and ratings...If it was legal to shoot puppies on Tv,they would be doing that......And they would all have the name TRUMP....
Actually President Trump is a little “different”. I like it. It is almost like the old fireside chat ... a calm individual just talking to you, about dangers, potential deaths but still giving hope. About as sincere as anyone could get on TV.

Best description of the situation I’ve seen is when all you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.
And when all you do is report on politics, every problem needs to be examined from a political perspective. And that’s who the WH reporters are, political reporters.
Just for a day, all the news organizations should send only their medical and science reporters to a press briefing and ask questions for an hour. The difference in tone and information disseminated would be both interesting and revealing, I suspect.
Unfortunately, it’s the same old acosta.
