CNN chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta, known for his rough-and-tumble verbal battles with President Donald Trump, likely raised eyebrows among CNN viewers on Tuesday night when he praised the presidents new tone at the latest White House press briefing, claiming this was a different Trump.
During the briefing, Acosta asked whether projections of up to 200,000 deaths would be lower if Trump had acted sooner, prompting the president to insist that he did act early. Trump did not spar with his longtime nemesis, even noting at one point that Acostas question was fair.
This was a different Donald Trump tonight, Acosta concluded. I think he gets it, Anderson.

translation: Aw, sh*t, Biden’s not gonna beat him, and he has too much inside info on Cuomo at this point.
Yep.
CNN’s talking point du jour. Even Chris Cuomo was parroting the same line from his COVID-19 infected basement at home.
Screw Acosta!
The tone of this article is very condescending.
Journalists really think they are the Best and Brightest this country has to offer.
Yes, my thoughts too. I was thinking why do they even let the dirtbag in the room let alone let him ask a question. I guess it just shows that they are better people than me. I’d slam the door in their face.
Accosther must have done some market research on HIS tone.
Jim should go have a nice in person talk with Fredo.
“I think he gets it, Anderson”
No Jim I think you and your ilk realize we the people have had it with you BS
‘F’ Jimbo
No it wasn't. President Trump has been answering hostile, nasty questions from the snakes in the media for over three years without too many worries. The fact that he let the palpably deranged Acosta get away with one snarky question doesn't change anything.
Expect Trump to hammer Acosta again in the coming days.
I didn’t see it. Deep down I think Cuomo is ok. He’s Italian Roman Catholic so I’m biased. :)
I don’t like his rants, but I have a feeling if he were on another network we’d love him. He sort of reminds me of Carville and What’s Her Name. Polar opposite. Doing a job on TV and being “normal” at home.
Some people can put things in a box. Maybe I’m giving him a pass, but overall I think he’s a good guy who is trying to do the right thing. Can’t say that about others on CNN and in the media as a whole.

The most utterly useless people on the planet. The kind of person who can’t contribute anything worthwhile in a crisis, and can’t even take care of themselves.
Useless wusses.
CNN’s sensationalism reporting goes on and on.
I get the feeling that the 240000 number was put out so that Trump and his people avoid the “I told you so” trap and that the original April 12 date to start lifting certain restrictions also might be that bit too close to that same sort of trap. And this is likely how and why Trump dealt with the media in that way yesterday.
I think he gets it... Acosta is taking credit for having broken Trump. He will be wrong again. But the President should never do another two hour gab fest with these enemies of America. They are a waste of his valuable time.
I’m betinning to think this virus is to Trump what the attack on Pearl Harbor was to FDR.
Maybe. But still, there’s about 4,100 deaths now. Going from there to over 100K in 2-3 weeks IS going to be pretty painful.
Fox has higher ratings than CNN + MSNBC
this is just a desperate ploy for attention.
