Fox News host Tucker Carlson said insiders in the Joe Biden presidential campaign believe he will not be mentally fit to be president come Election Day.
While appearing on the Charlie LeDuff podcast, Carlson claimed that Biden insiders told him they don't believe the former vice president has the mental fortitude to last until the 2020 election in November, speculating that the Democratic Party may revoke his potential nomination.

So they want the guy whose state accounts for almost 50% of the deaths? Where they didn’t close down the subway? Who squealed like a pig when suggested his city infected not be allowed to travel out to bring the infection to the rest of the country?

I honestly thought that was why he did not run in 2016.
At first, when Biden entered the race last year, I thought I might have been mistaken. But now there is something clearly off.
He is being managed.
It is hard to keep someone with Alzheimer's in one place, because they forget why they are standing in that place. This is easier in a debate, because you are engaged with the person asking the questions. But it is hard in front of a camera. Biden has walked out of frame of a camera twice. The most recent was the Zoom conference call. When the audio on the camera failed, they gave Biden an iPhone to speak into. That caused him to completely forget there was a camera.
They first put Biden behind a podium in his house, then sat him down behind a desk. The idea is to keep him as immobile as possible. Realize he is listening to a reporter through an earpiece, and there is likely only one or two handlers there with him.
Often times, he has a pen in his right hand. People with Alzheimer's fidget. Sometimes they nervously pick at things (a button on a cuff, etc.). Some will scratch themselves. With my mother, I was convinced the drug Aricept increased the fidgeting and picking. Having the person hold something (a book, a pen, an eyeglasses case, etc.) reduces this because there is the constant tactile feedback of something in one's hand.
Before the coronavirus lockdown, Biden's handlers were limiting him to 7 minutes of podium time, down from 20 minutes earlier in the campaign.
In one of his basement presentations, they put Biden behind a podium and gave him a teleprompter. Most teleprompters today have a foot pedal to advance the text, or roll it back, if needed. If Biden's had a pedal, he forgot it was there. He read the first page, then gestured to his handlers to move the text.
Yesterday or the day before, Biden was seated at the desk, and had to refer to notes to answer simple, softball questions, read the notes in a way that gave a nonsensical answer, and did not recognize he has said something meaningless.
There was a desperate move to get Bernie to drop out, and when he didn't get the debate cancelled.
On a positive note for Biden, I do not know how he presented so well during the debate with Bernie. To be honest, Bernie came across much more lucid than Biden, but Biden did not crash. He held up well for over one hour. Some speculated they may have given Biden something like Adderall, in part because at his next public event (basement desk interview) he was not lucid at all.
Like I said, Biden is being managed. Like child actors, or addicted celebrities.
My guess is before coronavirus the plan was to get Biden to a point where he had enough delegates that he was inevitable, refused to debate any more, stop most public appearances, do a brief acceptance speech at the convention, come up with some excuse to not debate, and they try to rely on ads and a few, short public appearances during the general election campaign.
The thing with an Alzheimer's diagnosis of a family member is you don't want to believe it, but once you get it, everything makes sense. And you immediately remember all of the odd things the person did you discounted before, sometimes things that happened a couple of years before. Perhaps Biden's inappropriate social behavior I was concerned about in 2010 was just Joe being Joe. But something is clearly wrong now. And the fact the campaign is actively managing it (with indications quite visible to me), makes it all the more likely it is a known issue.
It is very normal behavior for close family members to be very protective of someone who has some serious issue. I'm sure Biden had some kind of security, but a 68 year old woman leaping to her husband's physical defense, that is rare, unless the woman needs to feel extremely protective for some reason.
Then the democrats nominate hillary and she gets to lose again!

Debates should be great. Other candidates treat him with kid gloves, the media treat him with kid gloves, but Trump won’t. He’ll run circles around ol’ Slow Joe.

The plan is to hide him and shut down the primaries so Bernie can’t win, and then replace him later. I guess.
It is hard to imaagine that even the dishonest Dems would want the USA to have a President with dementia. There is nothing that is too low for them.
It will have to be Bernie he has been through the primary process, if they put someone else in the Bernie bots WILL revolt!!
I have to disagree. (Respectfully) Bernie Bots have proven themselves to be “do as you are told” Democrats. They get slapped down every time and come back like kicked puppies trying to please their masters.
Probably a few that were hoping for gulags and burning cities to the ground will write Bernie in, but the rest are compliant slaves to the Democrat party.
I was around John McCain when he ran. In Arizona and in Texas. McCain was crazy. Like a mad hatter. His wife? Back then? Totally not guilty.

apparently the DNC’s version of the 25th Amendment ... totally ironic if they have to invoke that on themselves after fake claims to have the most successful President in modern history removed due to claimed “mental unfitness” ...
