On Sunday, my dog (one of six) was fine at 11AM. By 1PM, she was bleeding profusely from the nose. We had seen this before, and knew exactly what it was, so I called the vet at home, and she came in, since she said if we didn’t get the bleeding stopped, the dog would bleed to death. She got the bleeding stopped and gave us antibiotics for the tick borne infection. Fortunately, the vet speaks good English, so I could talk to her directly. I thought the lockdown would stop it, but she said she could consider it an emergency and come in. 😁

I don’t know what we are going to do. I have a Doberman who is going to need to be “put to sleep” in the next week or so. Our vet has sent out an email saying they will stay open but to protect their staff you have to drive up and wait your turn in the car. I asked my wife if she thought they would let me just bring the stuff home and do it here, my allergist is going to let me pick up my Xolair for home administration today. She said they probably would be afraid I might give the vet meds to her. Hadn’t even crossed my mind. Epidemics change EVERYTHING.

Leftists will yawn-off restaurant closures, but deprive their dogs of medical care and they’ll cry all the way to the pet cemetary.

Owners should stay home and not get CV. What happens to the pets when owners have to go into quarantine, the hospital or die just because they refused to stay home.

Aren’t they supposed to witness the signing?
That’s a lot of papers. Wonder if they give the buyer disposable gloves.

Lots of Americans are getting a sobering lesson on the dangers of electing a lunatic as your Governor.

You can leave you house and NOT get infected by COVID-19.

This is a good example of "life still goes on".

Fledermaus, if your pet (or anyone's pet needs care), the pet can be taken safely to the DVM, the essential care provided, and returned home. Practice social distancing, minimize bringing items that have been touched by others into living spaces of the house and segregate your pet for 2-3 hours after bringing home and the risk will be very low.

We are doing a long distance closing ourselves.
We took all our documents to a notary in Maine and then express mailed the signed nortorized documents to the title company in North Dakota. We will know by this Friday if it all works!

“I don’t know what we are going to do. I have a Doberman who is going to need to be “put to sleep” in the next week or so. “

Sorry to hear of your dog...

We had to put down our 17+ year old cat yesterday...

The procedure was to call at the front door, they took the cat in, called us in the car to inform us that she was diagnosed with several untreatable conditions.

They opened up and let us visit her, then the Wife left and I stayed with Katinka through the procedure. It was good for all of us to say good bye and we are grateful that the vet let us in for the final visit.

Usually we have had the vet come to the house for the final visit, then I bury the cat on our property where the just passed cat liked to ‘hang out’ - couldn’t get the vet this time and the ground is still frozen so we’re having her cremated and will scatter her ashes under some aspen trees next month.

There are animal hospice companies, perhaps they could help you?

Best to you, FRiend.

We’re trying to nurse him through, so far it’s working but when he can’t go outside to do business were going to have to bite the bullet.

F social distancing. BTW, the pet line was a JOKE. You must have never seen the Planet of the Apes series.

LOL, I did. Just wanted to make sure all understood that some are taking the stay at home directions to unreasonable extremes.

So...can a farrier trim horses’ hooves? Or should the horses just be allowed to go lame?
