They need to do this. I don’t care what it cost now. There are entire industries of small businesses that have had to already lay off workers. Those same small business owners are also hurting.
Most of the younger ones live paycheck to paycheck and they don’t have one now. They will use to buy food first. Sure, some that have savings and/or plenty of food.. will go buy an Xbox or something. But, still, that keeps the economy going. Also consider that many of the contract and temp workers that have ZERO income now will venture out of their houses if they don’t have cash for food. Crime increase and virus spread as a result.

Spend the money and have the US mail deliver food boxes to US addresses. Non-perishable stuff.
One of the things he's insisting on is a provision that recipients must have a Social Security number to get a check.
Now ask yourself why any American politician would ever object to that. Then remember that most members of Congress ARE objecting to it.
That should be required. There are already people who game the welfare system with “fake” dependents. I see nothing at all wrong with requiring a SSN. Rand Paul is 100% right and they should vote for it.
As for why they are objecting.. illegal aliens.

Most are just 12-14 days from paying a rent or mortgage and if their jobs have suffered, then what?
There are going to be even bigger problems in 2-5 months down the road. I don’t see how people will be able to “catch up” and be current.

Nowhere did I say people should save or investment the ballout money. Food, bills, medicine, essential household supplies. What’s so wrong about that?
