I’m with you. Yes Moore does need to ride into the sunset (maybe on the same horse he used to go to the polls a couple weeks ago).

Session’s behavior as AG was an embarrassment. It started with his expression of undying love for the DOJ bureaucracy, followed by his being completely played by Rosenstein and the bureaucrat’s Session’s expressed his undying love and devotion to and went downhill from there.
The fact that he’s getting anywhere near 40% support with these known facts shows that there are more than a few idiots within the republican electorate.

Either one of them beats Jones. No longer worried about blowing this race with a terrible nominee. Fresh blood is probably best, though, but Sessions was in there to prevent another Roy Moore debacle.

Sessions should gracefully bow out at this point...don’t know if he can though with a runoff...if he just withdraws, does the runoff get cancelled?

Tuberville has surrounded himself with people who support higher immigration and made it clear to the business establishment he support bringing in more cheap labor. This isn’t good.

Yet the GOP establishment endorsed Sessions. Why is that?

Makes you wonder if Sessions was the insurance policy that they talked about.

Hmmm... In calendar years, he is 13-years younger than me... Not too old... Just slightly well done...
IAC, when I was his current age (73), I was still in the gym 4-days a week... A 50-year habit was hard to break...

He was not suited for the job. The bureaucracy controlled him rather than the other way around. He basically let it run amok by having no talent or skill to run a department of that size and scope. I don’t believe he was part of an establishment conspiracy against Trump and he did it on purpose...but he was completely aloof in what he was actually dealing with and had no ability whatsoever to manage it. His appointment was a massive mistake - for the reasons just mentioned, and also the loss of the Senate seat that also resulted.

He’s not that man any more. He wants to be redeemed by winning back his old seat after a terrible stint as AG.

Sessions gotten plenty of free campaign ad air time from FNC lately and from what I have seen has shown ZERO remorse for his role, wittingly or unwittingly, in the ongoing coup against POTUS. That should be the final straw for any GOP voter considering voting for him.

We kind of live in a bubble here on Free Republic. The average republican that watched Fox News, is not much better than most democrats.

I don’t blame Sessions he is way to mild mannered to have run the corrupt DOJ, I don’t think Trump OR Sessions had any idea what the hell they were walking into!! Obama made it his mission before leaving office to weaponize every damn department in the government making it damn near impossible for his successor to run the country! Obama and intel knew EXACTLY what they were doing Sessions was not the right person for the job I don’t blame Sessions!!!
