Citizens in the commonwealth are going to learn an expensive lesson on interfering with the free market. The diabetics dying without insulin that blamed the evil corporations will find out what getting slapped by the invisible hand feels like.

Why $50?
Why not $25? $10? Free?
Or are the Dems doing this to show how noble and heroic they are while letting big-pharma off the hook for insulin assistance plans by saying - hey were charging the legal limit.

It’s sad. Together we can find a way for everyone to get their insulin. What works against that idea is that those that can pay would be in line with the others and too many of the others don’t take care of themselves. Who is going to take the time to interview and not just rubber stamp those who are not in the need?

They’ll be the first ones to kill off their diabetic population when shortages hit.

A mote likely results is that Big Parma will hike prices for patients in other states.
That’ll work until the other states do the same thing.
Or until healthy taxpayers revolt.

My wife is a veterinarian. Why is the pet insulin (100% exact same as human insulin) $25 when the same amount human insulin is $300? (not sure of exact prices but that is the price difference)
Why can she buy a bottle of Epi for $28 that has enough dosage to fill 30 Epi pens at $600 each
Conservatives need to stop siding with these rip off drug companies under the guise of free market.
It’s not a free market.

When insulin is no longer available anywhere due to price controls....
When companies stop R/D on insulin...
When diabetics die and try to find someone to blame...
This is where it began ...

Liability and lawsuit lotto. Pet insulin costs less because if someone does something stupid with pet insulin, the amount they can sue for is relatively limited. Not so with human insulin.
Those multibillions getting awarded or settled for in lawsuits have a cost.
