DHS Advises Americans To Store Two Weeks Of Food, Water For Coronavirus Prep
Breitbart ^ | 2-26-2020 | Bob Price

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security offers tips for planning for a possible pandemic in relation to the Coronavirus on a preparedness website.

Ready.gov now contains a topic titled, “Human Coronavirus — Know the facts about Coronavirus. Public health is everyone’s responsibility.” That website redirects to recommendations for how to prepare for a possible pandemic. DHS recommends storing a two-week supply of water and food. Officials also urge Americans to make sure they have all needed prescription medications filled for that time period.

Specifically, DHS recommends:

Before a Pandemic

•Store a two week supply of water and food.
•Periodically check your regular prescription drugs to ensure a continuous supply in your home.
•Have any nonprescription drugs and other health supplies on hand, including pain relievers, stomach remedies, cough and cold medicines, fluids with electrolytes, and vitamins.
•Get copies and maintain electronic versions of health records from doctors, hospitals, pharmacies and other sources and store them, for personal reference. Get help accessing electronic health records.
•Talk with family members and loved ones about how they would be cared for if they got sick, or what will be needed to care for them in your home.

If a pandemic should break out in the United States, officials urge the public to take steps to limit the spread of the germs to prevent infection. Tips include staying away from those who might be sick, frequent hand washing, and avoiding touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with your fingers.

DHS recommends:

During a Pandemic

Limit the Spread of Germs and Prevent Infection (emphasis below copied from website, not added by writer)
•Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
•When you are sick, keep your distance from others to protect them from getting sick too.

Are they predicting a loss of power and water? That would be extreme unless the govt knows mu h much more than it is telling.

Yeah..”Yawn”..

Leading Harvard expert (talked about on Tucker 2 nights ago) estimates between 40 and 70% OF THE ENTIRE WORLD will contract COVID-19.

At a minimum (the 40% range) assuming a 2% mortality rate (which by all accounts is probably understated by potentially a lot), that’s 2.8 MILLION dead Americans.

“YAWN”, indeed. Kinda tired of hearing this all being poo-poo’d. This is probably the singular greatest health issue ANY of us have ever seen, or ever WILL see.

That Trump Press Fiesta said nothing about testing.

I don’t believe testing exists in the U.S.

If so, tell us what is being tested ? Blood test ? Urine test ? Breathalyzer ?

NO INFO USUALLY MEANS just that, noone is being tested.

Just two weeks?! On a regular basis we should have 3, 6, or 12+ months. Nothing new here.

What do we do next flu season, crawl in under the covers and die from fear?

The flu kills far more people.

What the Sam Hell is going on?

Why are we being herded like this?

Yes, as I think about this, two weeks of water is a lot. Family of four, at least a gallon each per day, likely more, that is 56 gallons. More likely we’d need twice that to be comfortable. Minus adult beverages.

I think the people poo-poo'ing this are thinking that the "leading Harvard expert" might be full of it.
