Actually, Trump is pretty popular with (legal) Hispanic residents. They like his style and personality, and while many of them would like more legal, controlled immigration from Latin America, theyre not in favor of illegal immigration, which affects their communities particularly.
The Sanders campaign has targeted Hispanics with all sorts of events designed to make Comrade Sanders look warm and fuzzy (Tacos with Tío Bernie for example). Sort of like Uncle Joe Stalin, the lefts favorite name for this psychopathic mass murdering Marxist during his lifetime.
Hispanics are not particularly pro-Marxist, especially Hispanics on the East Coast, who are generally are not Mexicans, but Venezuelans, Cubans, El Salvadorans, etc., many of whom had fled their countries because of Marxism. So I think the GOP needs to pay more attention to capitalizing on Trumps personal popularity with this group and highlighting the benefits of capitalism and freedom, since Hispanic immigrants, like Asians, tend to be entrepreneurial and appreciative of the freedom to have a good life. In other words, make it positive.
The Dems are pandering and offering freebies to everybody, and thats hard to beat, but I think it can be done.
There is a split within the Latin community IMO: Those who were living in the US as citizens are NOT interested in having their over the border cohorts upend their lives. Unfortunately they are being overwhelmed by the legal and illegal horde that is wants free everything. Kind of like a virus invading a healthy host and eating it away.
“...over half of Latino voters in Nevada had backed him...”
That is very disconcerting.
I have begun to suspect that Obama & Co. weren’t importing Central Americans arbitrarily, but specifically mobilizing communists to cross our border. They had a very active hand in encouraging illegal immigration; this would fit their behavior perfectly.
“But Latinos are natural Republicans say the pro-amnesty NeverTrumpers.”
I used to hear that on FR all the time.
Latinos?
Not the other lame primary candidates?
Ok
Some say Latino vote was down overall....and looks like not to many people voted in the primary 10,000....I read somewhere illegals could vote ????
I argue that although Bernie won by a large margin, going forward the Nevada win is meaningless in the overall scheme of things
The issue will be decided in the large blue cities
The “latino voter” will be the death of USA
You still see it but more in the vein of....they can be turned to vote Republican. I always have a one word answer. California.
Them're some low IQ people right there.
If nothing else we might get an idea of how many illegal were able to obtain DL’s.
I thought Russia was the real threat? /s
Oh, look. An article that roils the garbage spewed out by the Nazis and commies at VOX.
WARNING SIGNS: Democrats Continue to Hemorrhage Latino and Black Voters in Nevada Primary

I say it with a tear, California isnt going down alone. It has metastasized into the entire country. Rarely do I recognize American pride and patriotism.
There is no rule of law, nor are children taught the difference between right and wrong. Our total collapse will be traced back to the education system, starting at K.
Clark County, Nevada (Las Vegas) has a very high Hispanic population-—most of whom are here illegally.
IF ICE were ever to raid the large casino/hotels all at once, they would find more invaders than anyone wants to admit to.
I have never, ever bought into the notion that Hispanics are natural Republicans. They overwhelmingly vote for socialism in South America, despite the poor results.
Perhaps Cuban emigrees/ refugees vote Republican. I believe that is the exception, not the rule. In a society where are they not only are poor, but see themselves poor, they are gimmecrats.
Note to self: Learn Spanish
Of course they voted for Bernies promises of free stuff. That is why many of them came here in the first place.
