Have them prove it first...GOP is hopeless...

In my simple mind to capture the carbon in fossil fuels you burn it. Is that still true?

Plants and trees still need carbon to live. No one wants to look at the Peridic Chart to see what percentage of the atmosphere is carbon. It is only .04 percent of the one percent that is left after nitrogen and oxygen is taken away.

There’s already more trees in the US today than there was when settlers showed up. And prairie can store more carbon underground that trees can above it. So what’s the fixation on trees really about?

Integrated Carbon Capture and Storage in the Louisiana Chemical Corridor About the Project In 2017, LSU researchers received a $1.4 million grant from the National Energy Technology Laboratory, or NETL, a part of the U.S. Department of Energy, to study the feasibility of industrial carbon capture and storage, or CCS, along the Louisiana Chemical Corridor.

I’m not sure burying CO2 is such a good idea. Under ground the gas is gonna migrate to wherever the paths of least resistance take it. I would be concerned about it getting into potable water supplies.

Stupid squared.

CO2 is not a dangerous pollutant.

It is essential for life on earth.

“United States to work toward a global goal of planting a trillion trees.”

To offset the trillions being cut down in the Amazon basin??

Plant a Trillion trees and watch them burn your State to the ground 40 years later. Not only will they release ALL their carbon at once, but also add thousands of your citizens and their homes worth.
