My suspicions lie in the realm of a complex plato o plomo scheme. Cartel guy goes to a sanctuary city manager, offers a plan of sharing the wealth, like a Mexican Marshall Plan.
City comes up with a tax, say a tax on sugar that residents can easily avoid, cartel diverts some of their wealth into the sugar fund, the city launders the money and keeps enough to avoid bankruptcy, the mayor gets reelected, opioid deaths continue, yada yada yada and the democrats win again. Or some version of that.
Until president Trump unleashes the hounds.

Unless Congress authorizes the Executive to withhold Federal funds for non-compliance with immigration law, the Executive's ability to do this is limited. So this is just another reason why we need to regain the House this year. Get Congress to pass legislation that says "no money for you!" to these cities, and BOOM! They will come crawling to kiss ICE's feet.

The voters are flouting Federal Drug Laws with their marijuana votes. Personally, I have no problem with marijuana which I don’t already have with alcohol. Neither of which I have much interest in using.
I agree with Sir Winston. He was one of the greatest politicians the West ever produced. This is why his bust is on permanent load from the British Embassy in Washington to the White House.
According to Winston’s classification, only one of thoise three offends the Constitution of the United States.

It does not take a rocket scientist to see the the difference between Schiff, Nadler, Sondland, the Vindmens etc, and a family like the Kushners, into which the Trump family has married. The fact that Ivanaka married a Kushner has these Bolsheviks even doubly insensed and frothing at the mouth.They have tried to launch criminal investigations into Jared Kushner repeatedly and he has smoothly slipped by them.
I wish the Bolsheviks within the Dem party, maximus ridicule as they are forced by their desperate, inflammatory conduct into the dust bin of history; their socialist utopia is being dismantled in front of their very eyes by American patriots.

Calling them “sanctuary cities” doesn’t make they exempt from the law. There is no right to harbor lawbreakers.
I am not aware of any State electorate voting Yay on the question of sanctuary status, free college tuition, free medical, and shielding migrant criminals from ICE. Let alone allowing drivers licensing, or “voting on local matters” for these alien criminals.
