I knew something was amiss when Philman said the word RADICAL. At the time I said I wish he hadnt said that because Schiff would pounce on it. And he did.

Now we know why

He didn’t quit. He had no role to fulfill. We know he was only there “part time” and there is notice of the same someplace.

The extraordinary games people play with something as momentous as an impeachment trial of the President of the United States in the United States Senate.

What in the world is more important?

Still don’t know why Trump named liberal Den narcissist Dershowitz to his defense team. He is an overrated legend in his own mind publicity seeking law professor who will turn on Trump in a minute, a John Bolton of the legal profession

I was set back when he made that argument but the more I thought about it the more sense it makes and I realized that people running for office and even sitting presidents have all done this. Do something for me and I will do something for you.... even though Trump said do something of US. Does US stand of the United States or We the People of the United States....

On CNN he told Wolf Blitzer that he had a commitment in the state Thursday and it was difficult to change his flight because the Super Bowl is on this weekend in Miami.

Gee, you would think he would have access to a private jet to get to the big game.

This is another example of the media not even able to understand a moderately complex argument. Dersh should tell these lightweights if they somehow got into Harvard and became one of his students they’d fail his class.

Alan is rushing home to put the final touches on his new book.

Once again he kept his underwear on while having his ego massaged. /s

He appeared on Hannity last night, and didn’t seem to have anything bad to say about his experience. Lacking any statement from the Trump defense team, why should we assume there was anything other than a prior commitment that required his presence elsewhere?

Daily Mail fake news. Explosive headline then when you read the actual article, no reference or evidence to support it.

Dershowitz did a great job giving his prepared speeches on the legal history of impeachment during the 9 hours of Trump’s defense team presentations.

When it came to the Senator questioning time, I felt Dershowitz was not up to his normal capabilities in explaining complex legal issues. What Dershowitz said could have been expressed better.

On balance, Dershowitz did not hurt the Trump defense team.

I thought Patrick Philbin did a fabulous job.

Every time Philbin went to the podium he:
1. Recognized the Chief Justice.
2. Recognized the Senators
3. Thanked the Senator for the question.

Compare Philbin’s decorum to that of Adam Schiff. Most of the time Schiff did not:
1. Recognize the Chief Justice.
2. Recognize the Senators
3. Thank the Senator for the question.

'But a lawful act- holding up funds, sending troops to vote, breaking a promise about Syria - does not become unlawful or impeachable if done with a mixed motive of both promoting the public interest and helping his re-election. Please respond to my argument, not a distortion of it,' Dershowitz wrote.

Prof. Dershowitz is not the right guy for political theater, which is what the impeachment process is.

“ RADICAL”

Dershowitz was noticeably absent. He had indeed gotten somewhat overly emotional we’d evening after days of Dem attacks on his arguments and abilities. He appeared to be on the verge of anger that he had to continue to repeat his position.

I have wondered repeatedly why they even had him present and even more so each time he said he is not really a part of the team. When somebody acts loopy I don’t subscribe to any theory that he is just too smart for us.

What he said was radical and even unnecessary. The defense case is made without going into some statement that is inflammatory and wrong headed on the face of it without a bunch of explanation or qualification.

His defense theory was total nonsense, rejected by the other members of the defense team.
