Trump rages at Bolton, says former adviser would have caused 'World War Six'

President Donald Trump berated his former national security adviser John Bolton on Wednesday, bashing his former top aide after the aide reportedly contradicted a key element of the president's impeachment defense in an upcoming book.

Trump went as far to suggest that if Bolton, a conservative war hawk, were still in the White House, the U.S. "would be in World War Six by now."

Those comments came hours after another tweet in which Trump asked: "Why didn't John Bolton complain about this 'nonsense' a long time ago, when he was very publicly terminated."

I think this is kinda like Bush II and even Kissenger, and how we all came to view both in a negative way.

If Bolton had come out with this book in the spring of 2021, I wouldn’t say much of anything. He timed it....to get max traction, and virtually everything he says....can be regarded as questionable.

Yes. This whole thing is a mystery to me. It’s not like Bolton was an Obama holder-over, or anything like that. Everyone knew what Bolton was all about. But Trump appointed him anyway.

Maybe Trump is playing some sort of four-dimensional chess game that I just can’t follow.

It's difficult for most to have their beliefs challenged, and few change even when the truth stares them in their face. DJTs presidency is so very important in this respect. The underbelly of neoconservatism is on full display.

I watched those cretins testify. They truly think they know best. You could even see the inter agency rivalry where they think they know better than counter parts.

John Bolton not only thought he could call the shots but that he SHOULD call the shots with no pushback.
