Bolton went in thinking Trump was dumb, and could pretty much call the shots and Trump would just trust his judgement because he didn’t know any better.

I watched those cretins testify. They truly think they know best. You could even see the inter agency rivalry where they think they know better than counter parts.

John Bolton not only thought he could call the shots but that he SHOULD call the shots with no pushback.
