Thats how the New York Times characterizes the Massachusetts Senator in an editorial today. I would have said liar, but why quibble? Whether its falsely claiming to be an Indian or falsely claiming she was let go from a teaching job because she was pregnant, Warrens ability to spin a yarn is undeniable.
Ironically, the Times characterization of Warren appears in an editorial endorsing her for president. Such must be the bubble the editors inhabit that no one noticed the irony.
Bizarrely, the Times endorsed two Democrats Warren and Amy Klobuchar. The editorial board must be split between pragmatists and hard core ideologues.
There is no split when it comes to feminism, though. The Times picked the female pragmatist and the female ideologue. Coincidence? I doubt it.
The Times trashed the leading male pragmatist, Joe Biden. It called him, in essence, too old for the job.
The Times also trashed the leading male ideologue, Bernie Sanders. It described him as, in essence, an inflexible crank.
The Times is right about both of these male candidates. But its the description of Warren as a gifted storyteller that really nails it, albeit inadvertently.

I just call her Pocahonkey.
Fabulous faker
Satan is the father of storytellin’
Paleface heap-big liar.
“Gifted Storyteller” = BS artist.
I hate to be the superficial SOB in the room but boy is she ugly too.
I’d put the back of my head against my 4k 3D TV and blow my brains all over it after looking at her face on it for 4 years, God forbid she was elected.
Hold on a sec, I’m gonna get me a beer.”
Shes a gifted grifter.
She is a liar and a thief and a communist supporter which means she supports mass murder. Bernie Sanders is another commie.
I would mere describe it as “touched in the head.”
She tells some whoppers alright.
"I swear on the grave of my Cherokee and African-American family
that I alone authored and pushed The Gambling Addiction Prevention Act,
the Sexual Trauma Response And Treatment Act,
and the National Guard Promotion Accountability Act.
As a lawyer trained by Harvard Law to lie, like Obama,
you can and must trust me."
Well, when she was raised on the reservation a most respected person in the tribe would be the storyteller. The storyteller would tell anecdotes and parables that usually had a point of learning. This helped people deal with day to day issues. Somewhere in the habit of using too much peyote Lieawatha imagined herself as a great storyteller but in this drug induced state of grandeur of self importance she lost her way. She developed the habit of continually lying to the point the tribe kicked her out. They had no choice really. Poor Lieawatha. With no tribe to support her she got on the gubmint programs of cash grabbing and found her trait of lying to be useful in gaining more money and power. Now you know the story of Lieawatha.
Delusional Liar would be more accurate
Gifted storyteller is the nicest way to call someone a liar.
No, no, no.
That should be “talented GRIFTER and storyteller.”
“Gifted story teller” is much more polite than b.s. artist and it is funny. In the south the ladies would say “She is a gifted story teller. Bless her heart.”
