The GOP establishment is dead, thanks to the Trump Revolution. And that's fantastic news
Fox News ^ | January 13, 2020 | Steve Hilton

I want to talk about the "Trump Revolution" because I don't think there's been proper recognition of the substance and significance of what this president is doing

.It's completely different from what we've seen before. It doesn't fit into the establishment's traditional ideological boxes and that's why they waste our time with pointless political games like impeachment.

We saw the new approach clearly with Iran. The Democrats, never-Trumpers and their media lackeys lurched wildly from calling Trump weak to branding him a warmonger.

\So they can write whatever pompous, self-righteous nonsense they want in The New York Times. The establishment Republican Party is not coming back. It is dead, killed by their policy failure and Donald Trump's policy success.

There is no constituency for their ideas, except a handful of opportunists who traded their principles for a contract with the Democrats' cable news networks, where they poop off about the president's tweets while ignoring his policies. Here's the level of their analysis.

Nicolle Wallace, MSNBC host: I truly believe he is the hamburger-eating, Zamboni-riding loon that we see on TV and on Twitter.

They're like pampered aristocrats in pre-revolutionary France in powdered wigs and fake beauty spots as they witter to each other, "My dear, Trump is so vulgar!"

Well, maybe he is. But if you're someone who has finally got a job after years on the scrap heap, you'll take that over elegant failure.

You would be foolish to believe that. They are Dem-lites. They have crawled back into the recesses, but are still amongst us, waiting.

Is Romney still a Senator? Then it’s not dead.

In recent years I have noticed that nothing of a conservative nature ever gets accomplished unless it enriches the Republican scum of the country club crowd. Now that their taxes are lowered they want cheap labor even if it means turning the country over the lib elites. Apparently they know their money will be safe since they are richer than the GOP country club class. I am now in favor of higher taxes on corporate classes and contrary to what I used to believe I think that is how we save this country from socialism or at least socialism as defined by these privileged globalist lib gentry types.

We will no longer sit by and allow Globalist stooges to be sold to us as ‘Conservative’ by a corrupt and thoroughly discredited “Conservative Media”. They have shown themselves to be nothing more then shills of the GOP-e.

Sir Ronaldus Magnus bombed the crap out of Daffy Qaddafi in 1986, and Qaddaffy stayed pretty quiet and kept to himself for quite a long time.

Methinks that God Emperor Trump's actions against Iran will have the same effect.

What the establishment GOP fails to understand is that they will all be targets of rat set ups in the future

They'll just change uniforms and become Rats.

The tectonic plates have shifted politically. It has happened in the U.K. too and is happening in other places as well eg. Brazil, Australia, Italy, Eastern Europe, etc. the traditional Left-Right coalitions have fractured and new coalitions are forming.

There is little difference between elitist, globalist country club Republican Establishment types and Democrats. Meanwhile, the last remnants of the White working class who still viewed the Democrats as being the working man’s party (the Midwest....Democrats lost these people in the South a generation or more ago) have come to realize that those in charge of the Democrat party today hate their guts and are seeking to destroy them at every turn.

Look at how Labour has lost the north of England for exactly the same reasons. Look at how Boris had to purge the Tory Remoaners just as Trump had to launch a hostile takeover of the Republican Party.

What the media and most Democrats really can’t stand about Trump is that he hits back.

Let us pray. The GOPe needs to be tossed onto the scrap-heap of history. For the sake of our Republic.

No, and it won't be until we chase the Romney types into the Democrat party where they can accept crumbs, like the Boll Weevil Democrats did for a while. The Romneys are O-L-D. Chase out the Flakes, the Corkers, the Ryans, replace with upgardes (hint: NOT McSally types). Lather, rinse, repeat.

Right now, we have to develop the intellectual underpinnings of a Trump-friendly party AFTER Trump. We won't necessarily need another Trump after 2024, such a man does not exist. We need someone who will consolidate Trump's progress, while continuing to move the ball forward.

Good point. The GOP establishment is far from dead. It may be lowering its profile a little bit during the Trump era but they still control the GOP.

That is exactly right. The establishment controls the money and the culture of the GOP. Make no mistake, they still own the party.

That’s what I’m thinking. No one in that town gives up power easily. They’re waiting for their comeback.

They wouldn’t be taken down if they played nice with the Dems...and all of the RINOs are more than happy to do whatever it takes to stay in the good graces of the Dems in charge.

There is nothing stopping the Republicans from taking down some Democrats, just to level the playing field somewhat...

...except that the Republicans historically don't really want the accountability of being in charge.

President Trump is showing them what happens to the bold Republican, both the good and the bad. The good is what happens when real conservative policies get implemented and the people respond; the bad is the bigger target on their backs as desperate Democrats try to roll back the gains as they try to claw back power.

There’s a well known saying in Washington: “We were here when you (the president) arrived and we’ll be here after you’re gone. The Swamp creatures know when to lie low and come out when the threat has passed.

If post-17th Amendment ratification GOPe can stop the Senate from dismissing mock impeachment of PDJT, then it is not dead yet imo.
Whoa! GOP does not have 51 votes to dismiss?

Insights welcome.

Remember in November!
