If you legalize what's wrong that you like, such as nookie with no strings attached

That's been legal and widespread (no pun intended) for at least 50 years.

Agreed. I'd say the effects we've seen so far give an idea of how the rest of the story will read if we finish the job (God forbid).

Should we criminalize nookie with no strings attached?

we need look no farther than the original Ten Commandments. After all is said & done, that’s where the legal code, upon which Western Civilization was built, comes from.

So we should criminalize all forms of lying? Making of graven images? All failures to honor father and mother?

Wrong. Even now teenage girls who are runaways are forced into prostitution and too afraid to go to the police. Often pimps get them addicted to drugs and then control them that way. I still say you won’t find many women who choose this lifestyle. It’s very sad.

For that matter, what about the men? This has to be corrosive to their character. How can a man have a genuine relationship with a woman if he thinks paying to use a woman’s body is OK?

Very few people are forced into any legal line of work

Which part of "legal" did you not understand?

Women will still be lured or “persuaded” into this work by drugs and by unscrupulous pimps and madams. Young girls will still be exploited. If asked, they will probably say they are doing this of their own volition, but there are all kinds of tactics to force someone to submit to exploitation. They will still be afraid to defy those controlling them.

It may still happen - but the risk vs. reward motivational balance will be tipped in the direction of consent.
