Battle Over Gun Control in Virginia Heats Up: “I think the point at which we can have a reasonable conversation about this is long gone”

“I think the point at which we can have a reasonable conversation about this is long gone.” – Gun Rights Activist Colion Noir

Virginia’s anti-gun governor wants the entire package of gun control bills fast-tracked for passage in the first week of this brief session in the new year.

Attorney and gun rights activist Colion Noir spoke with Fox News’ Pete Hegseth about gun control in Virginia:

Virginia is facing a government and attorney general who are chipping away at the right to bear arms:

The woman in the video below delivers a warning to the rogue Virginia government in a passionate speech that reminds us we have every right to be armed. We also have every right to resist efforts to disarm us.

Yvette Bronx discusses the tyranny Virginians are facing in a 2nd Amendment Sanctuary County hearing:

This woman is fantastic!

She should run for office! She gets it!

The Washington Free Beacon reported on the anti-gun stance in the state of Virginia:

“Gov. Northam and the rest of Virginia’s anti-gun politicians’ idea of a compromise is to threaten hundreds of thousands of Virginians with felonies unless they submit to government control,” Catherine Mortensen, a National Rifle Association spokesperson, told the Free Beacon. “The NRA will stand with the Commonwealth’s law-abiding gun owners in solidarity to oppose gun bans, confiscations, and registrations.”

>> The only reason that this is possible in Virginia is because of all the residents who get some kind of government check.

That was the reason for my question. Everyone seems to want to think this was due to the beltway voters, but the real truth is that they did what they always do. The flyover voters got complacent, as they always do when a Republican is in the WH, and decided to stay home.

Our side never learns. Their side continuously adapts. Now the people of VA will lose a lot of rights because they were too lazy to vote.

The VCDL needs to set up a text alert system that sends out a blast of a text to let people know when and where the state government is trying to take some guns. That way people can show up and support the person having their guns taken away.

What would they do when several hundred armed people show up to stop the gun grab?

Maybe they should take all the guns from Arlington County, Falls Church and Fairfax County first. That should help crime in that area.

"Libs are constantly boycotting states for abortion restrictions, backing Israel, or GOD knows what.

The hard core liberals in our country are the foreigners and the damned fools... California, Oregon, Washington, New York.. The U.S. is virtually rotting around the edges.. They go nuts whenever someone says "America First!", or "Make America Great Again!".. Our country is being lost to commie invaders and it's high time we did something about it..

The left is always whining about their civil right being violated.. It's time they learned what REAL civil rights are and what happens when some stinking politician violates those rights..!!

....perhaps.... but I believe the huge influx of immigrants over the past few decades has something to do with this, too. These people come from countries where big gubbermint is accepted; no one in the private sector can own a firearm; they are used to being told what to do and how to live their lives and they do so rather willingly; public protests are often met with violent responses from “the authorities” - hey, I am retired; I get my Social Security and military retirement each month and my political outlook is still way to the right of Ghenghis Kahn’s ........

“Trump has a LOT of new judges that are supposed to be conservatives. Where’s one with the guts to do a “Hawaiian Stay” on this bill?”

Exactly!!! over and over we hear about all these conservative judges yet our side wins NOTHING in court. The judicial branch is a total loss. Obama did not even bother attempting to fill the vacancies because they don’t matter. We are kidding ourselves thinking things are going to be fixed by the courts.

The law hasn’t been passed yet. Kind of hard to do an injunction when all thats happened so far is the notice and threat.

Outstanding! “The people who hid Anne Frank were breaking the law. The people who killed her were following the law.” I’ll give abundant credit where credit is due. This lady deserves that. She has earned it.

Vote her to replace the current governor? Vote her to replace just about any politician. She understands what it is to be a servant of the people and more importantly than that to me, she understands LIBERTY.

A caged animal can be given freedom. Only a man can have LIBERTY. LIBERTY carries with it responsibility to others and future others. It is not simply a right to do as you please. Nobody has that right at the expense of any other man.

I think the gov. is going to go through with this no matter what. He is both that arrogant and that stupid.

What would you do if this was in your state? How far would you go to preserve this Liberty given to you by the Constitution?

Of course not only the Constitution say we have the right to keep and bear arms and that it shall not be infringed. I see no restrictions in that at all.

Exactly, and each and every conservative who sat the Nov 2019 election should be keel-hauled repeatedly. There ignorance or arrogance have condemned all citizens of Virginia to a living hell for the foreseeable future.

This would include their own children and grandchildren, now my grandchildren will likely be slaves to the Democrats here in Virginia because they could not be bothered or they were pissed off that the VA GOP put up RINOs. Thanks a heap guys.

Add Richmond and Hampton Roads to your list. Notice how most of the serious crime happens in exactly the areas that did NOT sign on as 2A Sanctuaries. The Dems’ bills are a political attack against the people and firearms they know are NOT the problem.

Actually, I think the phrase conveys a sense of the situation quite nicely (although it also reminded me of a law firm with which I used to do business ;^)...

They are budgeting for it. So, yes

As I have come to learn through years of living in an urban area there is often quite a difference between budgeting for something and actually doing it. That said, if they actually attempt this madness I think they'll find an awful lot of Virginian guns fell off a boat into a river somewhere, if you get my drift.

I live here in Virginia and part of the proposed budget is to establish an 18 member team to enforce the new gun laws. You can be pretty sure they will be armed. They are also budgeting for more prison space to house the non-compliant gun owners.

They sound very serious and this feels like a clear provocation.
