Oh it's part of the Left's politics of envy, greed, and class division. Note that they have no problem being rich themselves!
The American People have always viewed wealth as a great blessing and something to which to aspire. It is.
Anyone who say's that money cannot buy happiness is foolish. It can. For one thing, it can buy a lot of expensive psychotherapy. For another thing, it can provide the ultimate luxury: to be able to live according to principle.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) may be 78, but hes 78 going on 30.
I prefer the Jennifer Garner version.

The wealthiest zip codes in the country are heavily Democratic.
They don’t seem to take the “tax the rich” rhetoric very seriously. ;-)

Millennials will want free stuff, until the day comes that the boomers and genXers who are paying for it have died off. Then what?

"Why do Democrats kick around America's rich?"
In order to deflect attention away from the fact that they ARE the Rich.

In childhood, everyone fell in love with the Robin Hood story.
In that country, in that era, it was basically impossible for the poor to become rich. The Industrial Revolution changed that, and it is still ongoing IMO.
