Fire the guy and charge him with making a false report. And make sure he gets the max for It.

Another day, another Smollet — or equivalent.

The difference is that nobody is defending this cop, while the left ran forward to defend faker Jussie.

Don’t care who you are, don’t play victim. It’s never funny.

No description of the hoaxer.

A protected class, no doubt.

This smelled from the beginning. Supposedly happened in Junction City, Kansas, not exactly known for hatred of cops and an Army town to boot.

There once was a cop who went to a McDonald’s and ended up with a Whopper.

25 years ago or so a local sheriff’s son who was a deputy shot himself and said it was a Mexican who did it and caused a Keystone Cops manhunt for an afternoon.

Turned out he accidentally shot himself playing with his gun.

My wife works in HR for an Owner-Operator with several stores.

McDonalds has it going on regarding video surveillance, timing and documentation of every customer interaction and purchase. Remember to smile . . .

The officer had previously been a military police officer with the U.S. Army and lives in Junction City. He resigned from the police department, leaving it with five full-time officers. Hornaday declined to name the officer because it is a personnel issue.

“It’s not a matter of us not wanting to tell you who it is, because we have no reason whatsoever to protect the former officer,” he said.

Hornaday said the case has been discussed with Dickinson County attorney, but he doesn’t expect criminal charges.

No worries. I’ll bet a dollar that within a month he’ll be hired by a nearby police department.

So if I started a national news hoax like this and if caught, they’d just say it was a personal issue, not name my name. I don’t think so.
