Some members of the Jewish community have armed themselves in light of recent anti-Semitic attacks.
Some members of New York’s Orthodox Jewish community were seen open carrying AR rifles at a community event on Sunday, a day after a man attacked a rabbi’s home with a machete, sending five people to the hospital with injuries.
Another attack occurred in Jersey City earlier this month at a Jewish grocery where where four people were killed.
The two attacks specifically targeting New York City’s Jewish community appear to have motivated some members of the community to arm themselves in self-defense.
The armed men were attending a community event intended to strengthen spirits in light of the traumatic events.
New York is a state that enacts some of the most Orwellian gun control policies in the country, and some questioned if the men’s rifles were legal under the state’s laws. Open carry is heavily restricted in New York, and only “featureless” AR rifles that contain cosmetic modifications can be legally bought and sold in the state.
In any case, it’s a shame the men may be afoul of the state’s gun laws in an environment where it appears some members of the general public are inclined to target Jews. It’s hard to imagine that New York prosecutors would go after the men after the two attacks on the Jewish community, but if they did, some Jews who wish to arm themselves in self-defense might feel left with no choice other than to move to a state where peaceful gun ownership is legal.
The men may feel a prescient need for armed self-defense after an attack on a Texas church Sunday was thwarted by an armed congregation member. The retired police officer neutralized a shotgun-wielding gunman who opened fire on churchgoers.
Good for them, you’ll soon see the government in New York is more concerned with citizens showing they’re prepared to defend themselves than the fact people trying to kill them.

Now the NYPD will go kill the Jews.

It’s shameful that in 2019, Orthodox Jews have to carry AR-15’s in one of the most liberal communities in the US because they are threatened by liberal Muslims. And the Liberal Democrats are not angry about the attacks, they just want to blame the guy (Trump) who is trying to stop Muslim attacks. Next the Liberal Democrats will ban the Jews from owning guns to protect themselves.
Exercising their 2nd amendment rights.
True, the NY law enforcement officials will soon arrest these Jewish men for 1. 20 round magazines, 2. Open Carry, 3. Loaded weapon, 4. Illegal weapons. Meanwhile the same law officials will release Anti-Semites from jail and call them victims. Oh, wait, they did release the last attackers from jail with no bail
This is the situation that will trigger the proper 2nd Amendment case for SCOTUS to take up.
NYS state law makes it legally impossible to defend yourself. Under ANY scrutiny level, that cannot stand.
Even the Three Lefty Ladies will have to go along.
Where do they think they are, Israel? You can’t defend yourself in NYC!

Same in New Jersey. Almost impossible to obtain a carry permit. And scaring off an attacker by showing a weapon is a crime: brandishing.
The Left will not allow the case, or any case that involves gun control, to go to the SCOTUS.
They will drop the charges, and so prevent their cases from getting their laws being declared unconstitutional............

I here by formally invite the Jewish Diamond Industry for which New York is famous, to move to Ohio where open carry is completely legal and concealed carry is shill issue.
