Just imagine if Hillary had won.

We continue to see example after example of how narrowly we averted tyranny.

Rep. Donald McEachin is black and his heritage is such that he never learned Virginia History. From before the beginning, Virginians formed volunteer militias to defend their lives and property. The Bill Of Rights was appended with the knowledge thse Militias were fundamental to being American

Then along comes a black man with no cultural knowledge of Virginia history seeking to destroy that which the brilliant white Virginians created. Americans, real americans will not tolerate the Africanization creep

The classic definition of when martial law can be enforced is this: is the situation so desperate that the courts cannot be in session. Rather doubtful this condition would prevail.

My oath was to the US Constitution and for what it stands for, not for some Governor...I would have to resist any order to confiscate weapons because of a political hack’s desire to destroy the Constitution...

The Guard should surround the State House, lock them in, keep them with plenty of food, water & electronics and let the good Virginians go about their business.

The only problem is the people in the state house!!

If “Comfortable” Ralph thinks he can employ the national guard, President Trump can nationalize the guard to enforce the US Constitution.

i would hope that in the case of martial law, the national guard would arrest those violating the 2A and insisting on the forfeiture of constitutional rights of the citizens... and then by the powers invested in the fourteenth amendment section 3, throw those in rebellion against the constitution out of office.

Every day we see more and more evidence that Virginia is still a solid Southern state. Welcome home brothers and sisters.

This Governor has already acknowledged that he lacks the executive judgment that prevents 99.8% of us from doing blackface for the express purpose of a college yearbook.

This Governor had to be prevented by his wife from moonwalking at the press conference about his blackface.

So to see him light a match on this powderkeg? I'd take him at his word. So you Virginian's must exhaust every legal remedy.

"Virginia has a process that is similar to recall, but it is not listed here as a recall state because its process, while requiring citizen petitions, calls for a recall trial rather than an election. In Virginia, after a petition containing the required number of signatures is verified, a circuit court decides whether a Virginia official will be removed from office.

Petition requirements The petition for recall must be signed by at least 10% of the number of people who voted in the last election for the office being recalled (260,772). The petition must also detail the reasons for removal. " - Ballotpedia

Before serving for ten years,I took an oath to defend the constitution against ALL enemies, foreign or DOMESTIC.The second amendment says CLEARLY that the right to keep (have)and bear (carry) shall not be infringed upon.If given, this order is clearly illegal, and should not be followed...

While I applaud the sentiment of the letter, it’s not the appropriate argument. Bottom line is ALL military and law enforcement have a duty NOT to obey unlawful orders. Glad Virginians are standing up. What a different world it might be if Californians and New Yorkers had done the same decades ago.

What I think of his letter?

Hard read. I appreciate his passion but perhaps he should have had a friend read his letter first.

"I am one of them and will be one of the first to lay down my gun and walk away."

Perhaps a better statement would be, "I will keep my National Guard issued gun and protect my neighbors right to keep his too."

These Democrats believe that they are enforcing the will of the people that voted for them.

Therefore all of these Democrats, Independents and Rinos that voted for these leaders should turn in any firearms in their possession and follow their leaders in disarming.

They can then post large “ GUN FREE ZONE” signs all over private and Government properties and live without fear.
A win-win for all.

***but the governor may have to nationalize the National Guard to enforce the law,” Rep. Donald McEachin said, ***

NATIONALIZE? While a governor may call out the National Guard for in state emergencies, I believe it is only the President of the US who can “Nationalize” the guard, putting them under Federal Control as Eisenhower did back in 1957 Little Rock.

One way to check the governor would be for President Trump to federalize the VA-NG.
