Obviously, the fact that the neighborhood either is or is not a ghetto matters not.
Such is progressive logic.
In a Time of Universal Deceit Telling the Truth Is a Revolutionary Act.
Perhaps George Orwell.
A University is where you now go to NOT have free speech.
Where you go to get accused of stalking, or maybe raping.
Where you go to get a bit older and be saddled with debt.
Where you learn you are an unwelcome, stealing, plundering settler.
Aside from hard science majors requiring LABS, why go to University..?
Technically, you may be correct.
In reality, leftist professors can make the student's academic career miserable, in a hundred ways.
Don’t you know that it’s true
That for me and for you
The world is a ghetto
Sometimes the truth is offensive.
Maybe because it is in a ghetto?
What’s to investigate?
Been there a couple times, I can testify that Temple U is located in a ghetto. Certainly not a place I would want to be at night or drive a nice car to.
Going to Google maps and selecting Street View, anyone can see for himself that the kid is correct.
The fact is, the area IS a ghetto and I wouldn’t send my child there; grandchild in my case. The shame of it is I grew up as a kid 5 blocks from Temple and the neighborhood was a great place with mansions where the professors lived with carefree fun to be had and life was good. Then it happened!

“reviewing a video which features a white student and references to the campus neighborhood as a ghetto”.
Well....yeah, if a lot of students live there primarily, then it is.
Did these people even go to college themselves?
The video does not reflect the person that I am [
] I have started the process of educating myself about the surrounding neighborhoods by speaking with people who seek to teach others like me about local community issues and I would like to be a part of the dialogue on these issues going forward.
Wasn’t this the location of that recent big news gun battle?
I went to UF the residential neighborhood close to the campus was known as the “student ghetto” race had nothing to do with it. The older housing and general rundown look of the area. did.
Temple University is located in a disgusting rat and rodent infested mess (to quote President Trump’s comments on another slum). I’ve been there multiple times, daylight only, and I know ghetto when I see it.
The problem is...they believe “hate speech” is different than “free speech”. It is not allowed.
Telling the truth is “hate”.
Telling lies is “tolerance”.
1984 is here.
Are they only supposed to look on with admiration and say how wonderful it is? Communist countries treated people like that.
I travel a lot for work - Philly is #1 for places I do not want to drive through. The areas around Temple and UPenn are bad Ghetto areas. Not safe at all. My Professional association had their Annual Meeting in Philly three years ago. The members said the meeting will never ever again be held in Philly...
