This has got to be WAY bigger news than any kind of Schiffless, Nadless Impeachment action.
Theresa May was the Prime Minister at the last election. Boris replaced her after she proved unable to carry out Brexit.
Oh, I think the Rats can read the tea leaves here. This is a harbinger of things to come.
Johnson ‘says’ that they will emerge in January and leave...with or without a treaty.
The EU has a draft treaty up and Johnson has some limited acceptance of it. He’ll also tell you that pieces of it simply won’t be acceptable.
So I’ll predict that by early next week...the EU folks will assess the mess, and probably come to the table with the previous draft proposal changed slightly. Johnson will say ‘no’. Another proposal will come in early January, with slightly better offerings. And by mid-January....the EU will deliver some type of trade package that will be accepted. Then the ‘drama’ will be ended. The exit will occur.
Note, one key part of this treaty is the ‘divorce-payment’ (44-billion dollars) which the UK would pay the EU. If no treaty is signed....the money doesn’t move. To be honest, the EU desperately needs the 44-billion or they have an enormous problem in restructuring their budget situation for 2020/2021.
If the exit polls are right, the Conservatives will have a margin of 86 seats.
