Of course Graham has something to hid. That’s in large part why the Uniparty pushed all of this up so close to November 2020. POTUs can’t afford to have MADD fight with the GOPe on the eve of the election. Effectively, he’s being blackmailed here by the GOP.

The court is public opinion and the vote is in November 2020. Aborting Senate proceedings does POTUS no help. In fact it harms him because the true facts of the coup have not yet been revealed.

That's my thinking. Exposing prosecutorial misconduct is a key defense tactic at any trial (if it has happened - as it has here). Who CARES if Schiff doesn't answer? You make him plead the 5th or lie - and then you bring in witnesses to prove what really happened.

Once again the GOP is playing "go-fish" when the Dems are playing "Bridge."

And I suspect the GOP doesn't want the corruption exposed either - because some of it leads back to THEM - and McCain - and a bunch of people who are still around to take the fall. So - they would rather roll the dice with the "Senate whitewashed the impeachment trial" chants that will come from the media - then give Trump the fair trial he is entitled to and bring down the swamp.

Because I'll be very honest here: If Trump nods at this lack of being able to call his witnesses and allows the Senate to just dismiss it without him being able to KILL the democrats with a SCORCHED-EARTH CROSS-EXAMINATION - even I will think he's hiding something. Why? Because I know if I were completely innocent and I had the chance to rake my enemies over the coals for all to see (after what they had done to me for 3 years) and a bunch of my "allies" prevented me from doing that - I would raise holy hell.

This COUNTRY needs to see these people on the stand and exposed. It is the ONLY way they will be told the truth - because they won't get it from the media. If our party won't allow that to happen - well - let's just say Trump better not allow that to happen.

The true facts of the coup can be presented to the public via other means. This thing needs to end.

Not really. The clock ran out. There is no time for POTUS to engage the GOP on this while simultaneously GOTV the GOP vote for 2020. By the time this gets to the senate we will be months away from an election. That’s all by design of course.

How so? A years delayed and toothless IG report? A Hannity tick-tock? Nope. Only the bright lights of the beltway theater can force the Dems into a tactical retreat. They’ll never stop but they can certainly be put off balance. Look fast the Dems dropped Mueller after his dreadful testimony.

Oh - there’s plenty of time. One only needs to call a few key witnesses. They can be in session 6 days a week and they can wrap this up in a couple of months - just after NH. There is plenty of time. The GOTV for 2020 WILL BE the Senate trial if it were handled properly.

Yes, there is plenty of time if the GOP senate supports POTUS. They won’t be doing that. That is the smoke signal Graham is sending up. Most likely on behalf of McConnell.

“Graham himself claims that he wants to get rid of this spectacle as soon as possible because it is harming the nation. He tells Trump, “If the Senate is ready to vote, and ready to acquit you, you should celebrate.”
*********************************************************

Be that as it may. But knowing Lindsey Graham [The Pride of South Carolina] Along with how the Republican Party, including the Never Trumpers, feel about President Trump, I would expect to see some skulduggery, a/k/a, acts of sedition, when it reaches the Senate.

And I would give full credit to Jeff Sessions,a/k/a, the god o Alabama Republicans.

And that's my point. The Senate GOP is covering up their own corruption. Let me explain it better.

In criminal proceedings, you have many members of what is known as the "courtroom workgroup." In this particular case, we have a corrupt D.A. bringing bogus charges and our POTUS is apparently going to be stuck with a public defending who is making a back-room deal with that D.A.on what his client will and won't bring forth in his defense, rather than bringing down the house.

Why? Because after this trial is over - Mutt and Jeff will be working on some other stuff together down the road. It happens ALL THE TIME in courts all over America.

So - the deal will be the client will get off - but his rep will get tainted by the DA's smear campaign - rather than the client being able to run the trial and bring up all the dirt the DA (and probably some that the public defender's office is into also) is guilty of.

That's what is happening here...and it happens every single day in courtrooms all over America.

Now - If this happens - I am CERTAINLY not OK with it. And if Trump doesn't raise holy hell about it - that will raise some serious red flags for me. 1) Because I know what he has promised about his trial and 2) I know what I would want to do if I had been smeared falsely for 3 years. I would not take no for an answer - I am the President - and you couldn't make me. It would be over my dead body. These people would pay - and it would be on the stand in front of God and everyone with their hand on a Bible.

What you saw today in the Judiciary Committee is exactly what will be presented and how it will be presented to the Senate. President Trump will not be allowed witnesses or cross examination. The senators will vote based on what the democrat floor managers present.
