Given that Jacob married two sisters and also fathered children with their maids, I don't know if religion is the antidote to messes like this.

They save on writers and paid actors b/c with ‘reality’ shows the scripts write themselves and a lot of the public still wants to be on TeeVee ...

Well, I have no interest in watching - and feel sort of sorry for anyone who does.
Two guys (now in their 60s - looking like older, fuzzier versions of the fellows in this "polyamorous relationship"), and a gal (late 50s).
They've "been together" since 1988. Have a 35-year-old daughter (yes, she was born of the original - legally married - couple, before the second guy "moved in") who is now in a lesbian "marriage."
They live together openly, but otherwise keep a low profile.
I've known them all since high school, visit them every time I fly back to the States.
Yes, it's sick, but it's the best they can do.

It would not be hard to make the case that we have too much freedom...
Or perhaps, too little, in the sense that there are so many situations that we are not free to discriminate, such as these pathetic freaks.
I have been acquainted with several such cases.
All of them broke up in serious acrimony, either when a new and much younger woman was introduced into the group, or when the women began having children. None of the groups lasted beyond the mid-thirties of their members.
It is hard enough to sustain a conventional marriage. I cannot see how a foursome or a five-some has any reasonable chance of succeeding.
