NRA Asked Anti-Gunners the Name of the SCOTUS Case They Were Protesting. Their Responses Are Amazing.

"The name of the case, I don't know," one man said. "Actually, frankly speaking, I did not read. I was recruited here to represent my grandchildren."

Later in the video the same man is shown talking about the NRA.

"Demand action! Demand action for shutting down [the] NRA," he said. The man also suggested getting rid of the Second Amendment because "a gun for self-protection" is "not relevant at all" today.

"We live in a civilized society and must protect the interest of everybody," he explained.

Another man seemed to think the case was about so-called "assault weapons."

"We want to ban 'assault weapons,'" he said. When asked how an "assault weapon" is defined, his response was even more facepalm worthy.

Well yeah. They reserve the right to protest regardless of what they do or do not know about what it is they're protesting. Or else! Typical UPOS!

"We live in a civilized society and must protect the interest of everybody," he explained.

"... and that's why I want to take away your rights" he concluded?

It would be newsworthy if they actually knew why they were protesting. I haven’t seen a protest since Vietnam where the “protesters” knew why they were protesting, All Astroturf.

I don’t know that name of the case, but I know it’s about the rights of gunowners to transport their weapons. The New York law in question is ridiculously strict, so much so that the law has effectively been abandoned. It appears that is the defense being offered by the state (city?). That it’s a moot point and there’s no need for the Supremes to address it.

It’s an important case. However, SCOTUS is notorious for deciding cases as narrowly as possible. We’ll see what happens.

Typical.

Guaranteed their grandkids will be using assault weapons. If not those awful scary automatic military grade Glock AR-17s, then fists, baseball bats and knives.

I really think the outrage will be amazing.

These people have their entire self-image wrapped up in being “Do Gooders”. At some point they are going to see that Trump has done more for minorities and poor people than Obama or Clinton. And they will see that Obama and Clinton and all other Democrats have been committing vile acts for years and stealing money from taxpayers and charities and using that money to enable criminal networks of the worst sort.

When that information is placed in front of the “Do-Gooders”, how will they feel?

Well, we're in Washington, D.C. Why don't you walk a few blocks that way, and see what you think.

I am not so sure. People are amazingly good at fooling themselves and self-delusion.

I think what’s going on and about to go on, in Virginia is going to be very telling.

1. The counties bordering DC elected 3 DAs that are so radical, that the Democrat DAs they replaced were voicing concerns saying that these new ones are off the chart. For as affluent as those areas are, they do have their share of problems as well and the gang activity and violence is ticking up.

2. The Dem’s that have taken control are obviously vocal and loud about their intentions.

3. If the people in these counties, that are declaring themselves 2A Sanctuaries, it’s going to be very interesting how law enforcement handles things. State Police is the State Police, but in ANY county, the ELECTED Sheriff if the most powerful law enforcement official in it. No matter what. Even if Northam tries to force him out, he isn’t out until he’s out. And if the State Police try to come for him, what happens when his deputies show up to protect him? What happens when the deputies and the people of the country show up to protect him?

4. Does Northam try to activate the National Guard, declare martial law and turn these counties into police states? How will that play out as the people that live in these counties are the ones that are in the National Guard?

That place could be the next Ft Sumter, for all intents and purposes.

Personally, I love seeing these communities coming together for this. But, I’d love to see them form a group and start visiting West Virginia, Kentucky and Tennessee for some public talks on secession and becoming part of those states.

As usual, the Left, it has or will, sling 3 tons of poop against the wall and expect someone else to clean it.

When asked how an “assault weapon” is defined a typical liberal response is:

“It is a black, awful looking, scary gun that has hundreds of clips of bullets in it’s magazine that shoots hundreds of bullet per second...Walmart and Dick’s Sporting Goods used to sell ‘em...Now they don’t, but awful people can still buy ‘em online and at gun shops...”

… justices focused not on the Second Amendment, but whether the case belonged before the court at all.…

Going nowhere.

I remember looking into owning a handgun in NY back in the 1980s.

One of the handgun permits was, as I recall, a “premises permit,” which meant that the handgun could be transported from the gun dealer to the permit holder’s residence or place of business. After that, it could not be removed from that premises for things like practicing or maintenance. I seem to recall that the only reason the handgun could leave the premises was for it to be sold to a licensed dealer.

The law was absolutely asinine, as is the case for so many laws in NY. After all, the Sullivan Act was sponsored by an incredibly corrupt pol in the early 1900s, primarily to keep Blacks from being able to protect themselves against the Klan. That was when the Klan REALLY WAS a power in the USA... They pretty much took over the 1924 dem national convention at Madison Square Garden in NYC.
