As a USNA grad I hate to admit he is our only alumni President. sigh.....I usually just try to blame him on an early bubble-head nuclear reactor leak....
He was a terrible president. I admired his post-presidential work with Habitat for Humanity, then lost some respect for him when he started criticizing Bush.

Carter appears to have a decent streak in him ( with his occasional house building exercises). But he did America so very much damage he will go down in our history as the second- worst president ever (obozo being number one, of course - ) thank Heaven we survived ! And yes Carter is a terrible anti-Semite too - he’s got a whole lot to answer for when he finally meets his judgment

Jimmah Carter has hated and despised America ever since it failed to return him to office in 1980.
He has been a one-person wrecking ball of our Middle East policy, with a special distaste for Israel.
His wife accused the Reagans of “making America comfortable with its prejudices”. Petty, spiteful, and mean they are.
FWIW, 1980 was the year the major networks flipped the map colors of liberal and conservative from red to blue for the former, and from blue to red for the latter. Red, the color of communism, became red, the color of alarm & panic as in OMG those nasty rightwingers are turning our country red!
